Hello. New on forum.
Hi I'm Angie. I'm originally from Vegas, but moved to Northern Utah about 1 year ago. I used to do a lot of sf/x and body painting in Vegas, but here in Utah I'm more focused on face paint and henna. I currently work for someone else, but slowly but surely getting my own business started. I'm also a licensed Aesthetician in case anyone has any skin questions..

Howdy from Texas! and welcome!
Since you offered--this came up on another thread- What do you think of using those jewel decals for scrap booking projects on skin to decorate our face painting designs?

Re: Hello. New on forum.
I think it's fine, but the glue is what matters. I would use an eyelash adhesive or spirit gum (something made for the skin). The glue is what is actually what will be closest to the skin. There are always risks of allergies, but I'm guessing the plastic would be fine. I would worry more about the kid eating them than a skin allergy. Hope that helps.

Hey hey welcome glade to have you here. Wow talk about a culture swoop from Vegges to Utah. I'm a Casmo, its nice to have another in the business on the board. You can help me explain some of the legality's I cant find the words for.... or help me remember that not all states are crazy strict like good old Cal here is. Cant wait to get into red head skin topics with ya lol I need a Aesthetician for my salon, you sure you dont want to hope over here lol its warmer hehe...

Re: Hello. New on forum.
@monsterprincessart yeah, definitively a culture change, but I love it here. I am much more productive out here. Plus we have to stay until my husband finishes his degrees. I know California is very strict, but Utah is strict about licenses. I have to go take 600 more hours in order to do chemical peels, which is crazy to me because they are so lax about everything else here. But I am licensed in two states now, which I guess is good.
Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Your right, it just sucks for me because I have to spend 2 grand more to learn what I already know. Oh well.

Re: Hello. New on forum.
its crazy! I want my Barber license so I can offer a shave but if I can find a school that offers conversion its 600 hours and ya about the same $ or I can take the hole 1300 hours... To tell the truth I think really there should be a national requirement or at lest an exception for people who want to be licensed nation wide. Make it so you can ether go with the min hours your state requires or get a national license that requires the highest hours required buy the strictest states. Or hey you are already licensed in 2 or more state that counts too.... I feel ya.
