OK, so I need to change the skin colour of my face, neck, forearms, hands, and ankles to a light brown in order to go as a particular character for a fancydress canoeing event...yes, read that right!
My concern is if I go for a snazaroo water based product, that it will just run off if I get splashed, sweat or it rains.
recommended alternatives?......i looked at the liquid latex and just wouldn't have the prep-time to do that - I have about an hour to get ready at the location.
Many thanks
Luke

You couls try snax and then sel it with some hair spray. Now sure how long that would hold out with the water but it would get a bit more life than without.

You could use the tanning product all over, so you won't "look funny" on Monday...or go get a spray tan...

I think going & getting an airbrush tan from a salon would work. It's waterproof & will last.

You need to keep in mind whatever product you use - if you want it to come off in the shower that night... then it will come off if you get wet.
Maybe airbrush tattoo ink - although it has to be removed with alcohol or olive oil/baby oil so that would be some work....
and the ink isn't made to be covering your whole body... but it would work.
I would get the skin color you want in like Paradise or Tag and spray a sh*tload of hairspray super hold all over you. If you do get wet it will reactivate so just don't wipe it and don't jump in.
I have been told if you paint with Snaz and then use Green Marble you can swim with the paint on - but I don't know how you get it off later.
I think you need to accept you are going to be a different color for a couple of days.... even if only slightly.....lol

I think I may go for some snazaroo with hair spray on top.
Cheers for the replies.

If you can get some pancake make-up - Starblends by Mehron or Ben Nye - in the foundation shade you want they have a bit more staying power than face paint. Apply the same way, wet sponge but then buff the make-up with a dry sponge on the skin to even out and take off the excess... it does hold up really well on stage for hours sweating so should be okay with some water contact.

Just been looking at Ben Nye products. What about Ben Nye Magic Cake Aqua Paint or Ben Nye MagiColor Liquid?
As states "smudge and water resistant finish"......anyone used them before?

Is hair spray a better sealer than something like Ben Nye Final Seal?

Hair spray is meant to be used on hair not skin (however it has to be tested safe to be on small portions of skin since there is likely overspray). Final seal (and Green Marble SeLr) is meant to be used to seal makeup (face paint or foundation etc) from water which might remove it.
