My first full face skull and my first commissioned job! Watch out Daizy! (she got me to "help out" because she had too many faces to do for a dress up party)

I can't imagine what it must be like to be married to another face painter. Especially since you are both so good. Being able to gab all day about face paint. Everytime I try to discuss something with my hubby I just get the eye roll and fake snoring sounds!

Absolutely amazing! You are both so very talented! It looks so very 3-D. Yous cheeks look sunken in and layers and layers of ligaments. Phenomenal.

Likely my own husband has started to take a liking to face painting as well. About twice a week we have 'paint-offs' and paint each other using the same theme. It is fun to see what the other interprets with the idea.

Mr Daizy - what do you do when your not painting?
My man is a formwork carpentar during the day - 6 days a week....
But he is also my - airbrush artist,my glitter tattoo artist, my balloon artist, my web designer and graphic artist, my photographer, my model and at the moment my "pimp' - hahahaha we call him that cause he drives me to gigs and waits for me and drives me home.... not always but if he can he will... gotta love him.
He also makes my splits for me - made my design board - sets up my stall at festivals- has fixed my make-up case a total of 5 times - and above all is my sounding board for all my ideas and helps me make all my decisions when it comes to clients. Oh and he tralls the net looking for really good deals on face painting supplies and website optimization - prints and lamenates all my photos for me - designed and had my banners made.... hmmmm I think I should stop there as it would seem I am doing nothing but painting! LMAO
So....... I'm wondering what it is you do that led you to painting with Christie? I got my man to paint my daughter once and he said he nearly lost it so never again - but I think I may get him to come around on this.....

By the way I should of said this first - I love your grim reaper.... it's perfect.... except for the duct tape on his syth (sp?) hahahaha
But your painting is flawless! Smile

For some reason I though it was an umbrella at first.......DUH. (i'm a little slow... Very Happy)

Then I noticed the tape and it clicked. scythe. (Had to google it figure out how to spell it...lol)

Tash that is so awesome your husband is so involved. Never though to say my husband is my FP pimp, but it totally makes sense. haha

Only way I could get my husband to start painting was to not have him paint our kids. (They are so used to the face painting, they dont even try to sit still anymore) I had someone else sit still for him, or I let him paint me. Not having the pressure of a wiggly worm that will flat out tell him whether they like it or not helped. (kids are too honest sometimes. Smile )

I find it super amuzing that in todays culture 'Pimp' seems to be a respectable metaphor to be used on males. afro
Does that make it acceptable for me to call Daizy my face painting Ho?

So I'm a musician. I work in a music store outside of facepainting and I am Daizy's Pack Mule, Chauffeur, marketing manager, baby sitter (father actually), editor, "picture straigtener", and extension when she cant reach something high up. Most of the other crafty clever stuff is Daizy's forte so when I try she gets frustred that I do it "wrong" (differently).

I must admit, you all paint a lovely picture of me (pardon the pun. Im a Dad so its compulsive) but I must admit in fairness to the other husbands out there that while I love facepainting stuff, I do from time to time zone out when Daizy gets excited about new split cakes or something. It's not so much due a lack of interest but more that Females talk fast enough as it is and when they get excited about something it becomes another language and my male brain lags behind and the topic has changed before normal conversation can take place.

So don't get mad if you husband doesn't seem to show interest. He probably want's to but can't because he's a man/"pimp" and he's different.

I also left out that she painted three faces for a dress up party in the time it took me to do one skull and hand so I'm still the noob. Luv you honey Very Happy
