Bleh!!! That stinks.
I bought the Brian Wolfe DVD from eviltwinfx.com ($20 instead of $40!) and I have to say I would pay the $30 a month to watch all the other videos.
It honestly is way better than a convention in terms of seeing what the instructor is actually doing.
I am pretty sure this will have a major impact on conventions going forward...

Re: FabaTV - anyone joined?
you can also watch the videos over and over..in a convention if you don't get it the 1st time its over and done//unless you can get help in the jam sessions....i feel its a good deal for us in the midwest because there are not workshops or jams or conventions here

I signed up last night, watched 2 classes, I didn't see any ads, not sure what you guys saw? And I think it is totally worth it. It is making me go back to the basics where I have forgotten some of the things I knew and have gotten sloppy on. This will get me over the little slump I am in right now. So far so good.

Mmm, never seen any ads either?? Sometimes they are painfully slow to load where I usually give up. Other times they load in ok. Like Metina said, must have more to do with internet traffic. So far I am loving it.
One thing I hate....can anyone else jump into a tutorial, say, half way in? Or do you have to watch the whole thing from the start? I don't seem to be able to jump in where ever I want (like you can on you tube) and I find that annoying to the extreme!! Is this the case for everyone or am I doing something wrong??

I did the one year thing. I love it. I've learned a lot already and have really seen an improvement in my work. I think it just made me more confident if anything!
I do have some issues with videos loading, I thought it was because I was on a Mac??? But based on what I'm hearing from you guys it's not just me I hope they get that fixed soon. Hopefully Santa will bring me a new Macbook for Xmas!
I'm a visual learner and seeing the way others apply and work their designs really helped me. I did the wolfe one it turned out nothing like the video but still was good!

Re: FabaTV - anyone joined?
i was told by heather banks today.than the only one's that will have the ad's will be the live ones on ustream...the pre recorded will not have the ad's.
which means only the 1 free one a month that is live will have the advertisements..

Re: FabaTV - anyone joined?
i also think the only time you can jump in and chat is when the class is live...if you are logged in to ustream.tv
Re: FabaTV - anyone joined?
I wonder if the live monthly ones will continue to be free...
Sometimes I have trouble with streaming too, and it helps to re-start the computer.

Re: FabaTV - anyone joined?
I believe only the first two live classes were free, as promotions. From now on they will be for members only.
Re: FabaTV - anyone joined?
Most of the time - with YouTube and vids in general I"m better to let the whole thing load while I do something else and go back and watch them.
I have unwired internet which can come and go as it chooses - if it drops out in the middle of loading the whole thing stuffs up and I have to start all over again.
So I wouldn't be able to live chat..... might buy the dvd's instead.
Gives me motivation to fix my internet problem.
