FabaTV - anyone joined?

Hi everyone!

I signed myself up for a month yesterday, just to give it a go and was really impressed by the Brian Wolfe video! Has anyone else tried it out?

Thoughts?

No I haven't I think Rae from WA on here has. I watched the 2 free 1hour shows & found them awesome. By the way love your new avatar pic, is that something Brian covered in his lesson?

Thanks! Yeah was one he covered in the Heroes and Villains one - I've never been to a lesson but found it to be so easy to follow and clear.

Inca, I know what you mean I can't really justify it on an ongoing basis but figure I'll pay for a month long membership 4 or so times a year to treat myself, if I find it useful of course.

Hey Sez..I joined because if I added up what it would cost to go to all the sessions I would like to in N.Z it would cost way more..And this way you get amazing sessions with all the major talent out there..I feel it is a necessay expense for anyone really wanting to upskill themselves... I am still amazed that I am able to watch Wiser,,Brody etc..I would not have a chance any other way...Big thumbs up from me.

Yep I signed up....for a year actually. Pretty much for the same reasons freedspirit just mentioned. I've watched all the tutorials and am chomping at the bit for more to be released! They are great quality, just greedy oll me wants more. Love it!

I am currently sitting on the fence. I love the idea of it all and the 2 free ones that I have seen so far were really inspiring. For me it is still the $$ putting me off, I know it will be money well spent but then I just can't bare to spend it... yet.

I actually think if you're on the fence it's better to wait a wee bit longer. Then when (if) you do sign up, you'll have a greater backlog of tutorials to wade through instead of sitting and waiting for them to release stuff like I am know. Just my 2cents worth.

I am glad you mention that Rae. I was looking at it and thinking, if it was like the one online magazine where if you joined you got to see all the back issues as well.

Seems like waiting till about the six month mark is better to me.

Overall it does seem like a good value, but with all the free stuff on youtube is it really worth $30 a month? Only time will tell I suppose.

Oh! Me too! I was thinking today that it might be nice to sign up for a month as a treat for my birthday! But something else that caught my attention was not only do I pay for the privilage but I have to cop the extra download time aswell so 1 class a month would be my limit I have a small PAYG mobile internet. I missed the two free ones...
Metina, I think your spot on the money with your theory about waiting 6 months!
However, I looked forward to heathers tutes each month (being lefty shes handy (pardon the pun). I honestly thought that FABATV was going to host better quality FREE tutes with Pay per View special events.
I'm hoping that after 12 months or less 'on air' the tutes will be archived and available for free with only having to pay to view the newest and latest releases. I'm dreaming - I know...

Yep, I would recommend waiting till about the 6 month mark. It would provide much better value for money. I was just like this though when I heard about it and had to take a bite of the carrot!! : ))

you can still watch the free ones and you can watch them more than 1 time..i have watch both of them several times

I looked at the site but I couldn't find anything that was 'free' only the snippets you get for each artist. I'll look again...

I joined. I the pictures are much clearer than if I went to a convention and I can rewind if I miss something. I am very pro continuing education. I feel like if it's out there for me it's out there for my competition and I want to be better than my competition. I have taken classes for $150 for 6 hours so I find it more economical.

Because this was free & I found it by someone sharing the link I'm guessing that makes it ok for me to share it here.

I tried to watch the Marcella one and just couldn't stick with it because of how slow it uploaded. Does it upload better from their site?

If you join in two months time ..Do you actually get the ones realeased prior to that date? I would have thought that you get only the ones for that month. Have I missed the fine print somewhere..Or the big print? lol

thanks heaps learnt it off the Brian Wolfe video - it's funny, in the past I'd thought ya could get almost as much just from a photo but I did find it heaps easier following the video.

Just an update. I started watching the Marcella vid this morning around 6:30 am and it was playing fine. Maybe it had to do with the amount of internet traffic last night. Loved the designs!

In the free videos, there are ads every 15 minutes or so. Are those ads in the videos if you are a member?

Yes, there are ads there if you are a member, and I was very annoyed by the ads. Paying so much for a monthly service, I expected the live broadcast to be ad free, but it wasn't.
