Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
WHY I CAN´T SEND AN IMAGEEEE? I've been trying for an hour but something's wrong. I click on "host an image" on the icons above and I select one of my pictures and then I click "send" but after that it appears several opotions like "miniature" and "image". If I click on them, everything starts again and nothing happens. CAN YOU HELP ME, PLEASEEEE? Please, explain it like if I were a child: my computer skills are even worst than my English (Glups!)

Aussie, are you really called Montse? This is a very typical spanish name (from Cataluña). I'm sorry you don´t speak spanish fluently, but I could understand all your spanish comments !!!. I don´t want to think how will my comments sound in English . I often believe my posts are indecipherable, haha!

Si! Seriously! Montserrat Mercedes Carmen Solano Gonzalez was my name before I moved to Australia .... Now it's very boring firstname and lastname...not at all exciting.
Your English is great! 100 times better than my Spanish!

ArtsyFairy wrote:Hi Aussie. I love your TAG rainbow cake. I know what you you mean by rectangular. Does anyone have a solution to this? I also like the fact that your Tag has orange on the end and purple in the middle.
And your Wolfe is exactly the same as mine. It might just look different on your screen, or my lighting was brighter when i took the pic. They are both the same.
yes love the TAG neon rainbow!
I thought I may be able to cut out the Wolfe into a rectangle...cutting across the maximum height for all colours (the top and bottom) of the end colours and then put that into a rectangular container .... Then push the 2 crescents that are left behing together which would give you another rainbow cake but with no purple and pink....hope that makes sense!
I'll do it during the week and let you know how I go

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
I had thought about cutting the blue and purple out of my cake and replacing them but since what I ordered was so different from what I received, I was afraid to order 2 colors and have them be just as dark. Now I see your green is much lighter, too. Since I never use my Wolfe cake, I may just have to order the TAG. Thanks for posting the picture. (I don't understand why I can't post. When I select the size-[I chose the one under 800 px] no host button appeared). Sorry this has gotten away from the topic of this particular thread.
I would like to add that I too feel there should be some sort of private area. I explained my reason for not posting previously and don't have the courage to post a picture yet (and don't know if I'm capable ~ see above). I don't want to be a 'taker'. I just don't feel I am at the 'creative' level yet and with all the true artists here I am embarrassed to show you my painting. I also have no children or children in my area so all I have are my legs, arms and practice head (ugh!!)

when you selected the image you want to send and clicked 'host an image' you have to wait. Wait, wait wait, till it comes up with 3 codes with 'copy' behind it. Click on 'copy' after the middle one and paste the code in the text field. That's it.
I will look for the tread with the explanation.

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
Ok, I confess: I'VE NEVER USED A RAINBOW CAKE, OR A SPLIT CAKE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. . I'm really a newbie at facepainting and I spend many time filling in the base of my designs (I often use my Snaz or even my eye shadows). And split cakes seem very useful to waste time. Are they difficult to use? Which ones do you recommend me for princess and dragons designs?(These ones should be the favourites). I send one of my rainbow masks (I painted it with my eye shadows, haha). Please, be merciful, I'm not a professional one.

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
The mask is beautiful! Eyeshadows huh? I don't know how I could accomplish that design with a split without using a baby wipe to draw the outline, but I'm going to give it a go, if you don't mind. I just love the overall shape of the design, I have so many ideas of ways to embellish it. If you can do that with eyeshadow, I don't think you give yourself enough credit!
You should definitely try playing with split cakes but for this design...well, I have to play around with my paints and see how it could be done quickly.
For dragons I have a split of greens, gold/yellow and black and another with blues,silver/white and black. There is also a cherry blossom split that does a stunning fiery dragon.
For my princess, the sky's the limit... any color combination that you think would appeal to a little (or big girl).

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
Thanks for the post, Lady Jayde! The rainbow mask was only an example to show you what I do to fill in my designs. But of course you can embellish it or make it yours (sorry, I can´t express it in English. In Spanish is "hacerlo tuyo"). Anyway, thanks a lot. Constructive criticism are always welcome.

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
Thank you Nancy and Pilareta. I have just spent WAY too much time trying to do this and I now realize I am missing that part of my brain. I wanted to post my first step by step in the Dolphin area. All the pictures came out blurred. Finally got a clear pic of the end result. Tried to post that here but after choosing the image size (???which one is correct???) I got lost and nothing appeared. Sooo, I posted it in my gallery and then thought, maybe I can use it as my avatar. Can't find how to do that. And...when I clicked the picture in my gallery it is HUGE!! So, there it is. Thanks but I may be hopeless.

One down, one to go. Figured out the Avatar (I'm exhausted). Will try for a picture some other time. That is my first attempt at jewelry. Lilly, I don't know how you do it. You are amazing!!!

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
I ended up cutting out the Wolfe Neon from the round container and placed it in a rectangular container - IT'S SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER !!!!!!!
I can access the pink and purple now which it great.
Here are 2 pictures - 1 in the new case and the other a butterfly on my daughter - just a quick one to demo. The colours looked great in person and she was very happy with it!

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
¡Preciosa mariposa, Aussie! Beautiful butterfly! I'd take hours to get it with my eyes shadows so ,definitely, I'll look for a rainbow cake and some other split cakes. I've had a look at the forum shop but I have a question: in Spain we don't use dollars but EUROS €. So, how can I pay for my purchases? THANKS FOR HELPING!!

Re: Locking a thread for sharing pics?
I don't know why all the face paint companies don't wake up and put all the paint in square containers. Not only would it be easier to load, but easier to cut up for split cakes.
I know if anyone ever did this, they would corner the market!

Muchas Gracias!
Metina would know about buying in Euro - I sugget you send her a Private Message and she can answer all your questions. Unfortunately Metina does not have Wolfe but she is starting to stock TAG which has a Neon Rainbox Cake in a rectangular container.

You're spot on Metina! Maybe there is a market for you!!!! Jest went ahead and made her own . . . maybe you can do the same, put them in a square container and you have your audience already right here on the forum!
btw - can you please answer Pilareta's question about buying in Euros?
Thanks to Metina!!!
