tips for drawing a baby on a belly? Empty tips for drawing a baby on a belly?

I'm not huge on life drawing and I have a request to draw a baby on a belly. I know I have seen a few on this thread but I can't seem to find them now. At the moment all my sketches just look blah. Has anyone got tips for drawing bubs in utero? I'm thinking of trying to draw the bub as though it had dropped into position with feet and hands kind of crossed if that makes sense? I'd so appreciate any help as D day is getting closer and I'm struggling!

I've seen a few of these that look just amazing. Maybe if you have some in utero pics to go by as a reference? I'd sketch out the design w/ white paint & then go from there.

I spent till 1am sketching last night and trying the shading with my paint on the paper and coming out this morning to a lounge room scattered with sketches they don't look so bad. Still super nervous though.

tips for drawing a baby on a belly? Wmbell10

So I did it and I'm ok with how it turned out. i was under the pump as I was only booked for 2hrs and had to henna/facepaint the other guests at the baby shower as well. So this was done in 45mins. Considering life drawing is not my strong point I'm stoked! That and it was my first proper paint belly. I usually do henna bellies.

Riana that's fantastic hooray for you cheers you really did a fabulous job there & the little girls look so cute too. WOW you must have been painting up a storm to do all that in 2 hrs.
