Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
Twitter is a great way to keep in touch with others in your field while receiving and responding to tweets. Give it a shot!
Much like Facebook, let's start a list on this post where you can announce your Twitter account name and others can follow you if they wish.
Here's mine:
The Gilded Cat's Twitter Feed
New to Twitter?
Twitter for Dummies
Twelve tips from the community
Top 4 mistakes new Twitter users make:
Here's another big mistake that I made:
When you first sign up and before you start regularly tweeting, don’t follow hundreds of people. If you follow someone, he checks out your profile to see whether he might want to follow you back; if he sees that you’ve tweeted once or twice and you’re following hundreds of people, he may think you’re just a spam account.

How to use Twitter to grow your business
Use it for specials: "10% off to the next 3 birthday parties who mention this tweet when they book" or maybe"$3 off face art at the Local Festival when you mention this tweet!"
You only get 140 characters!
How to shorten URLs

I am @PerryNoiaClown on twitter
my recommendations for anyone that wants to market their business through social media like twitter and facebook, is to take some time to read two books:
Power Friending by Amber Mac
UnMarketing by Scott Stratten
they are similar books, both about marketing through social media, but you get a couple different view points on the same topics.
Make sure that not all your tweets are commercials for your business, you won't get followers if you're just putting out a constant advertisement. I like to tweet funny quotes that I find as well as things about my public appearances and local news type stuff. Every once in a while, I'll try to come up with something silly using one of the trending topics to catch new followers or some extra retweets from people who are searching the topic. (sorry, there's a lot of "twitter-speak" in there, but if you try twitter, you'll catch on soon )

Mine is @Flopsietheclown. I have another account that I use to follow those angels who tweet about coupons, sales, and matchups. By following them I have saved hundreds of dollars and lots of time! They do all the leg-work for you.

I'm @Elaborateeyes
I have a VERY limited knowledge of Twitter and rarely get on, so I'm definitely not using it to it's full potential, but seriously, who has the time! It's a good thing my website automatically posts on my twitter feed when I've posted new pictures.

Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
actually, if you are not actually ON twitter and participating in the whole conversation, you might as well not be there at all. Automating things is a good way to completely alienate twitterers.
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
I'm LindaLAS, but have yet to figure out the whole Twitter thing... Like how does one retweet? I do receive twitters on my phone from many people & I'll post something to twitter when I want it to hit my FB page.
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
retweeting depends on what you are using for twitter... website, phone app, hoot suite, etc.... basically though, you are looking for a squar-ish shape with arrows?
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
Do you find twitter a good marketing tool, or is it more a social thing?
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
it is a community... it's a way of reaching a new set of people, but if you make your twitter experience one big commercial, no one will want to follow you. There are many articles about how to use twitter for business purposes but the biggest tip that they always make is just to take part in the whole conversation and become a member of the twitter community. You can tweet business stuff sometimes but if that's all you ever tweet about, people won't sign up for a constant commercial by following your feed.

Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
no, you can just do it on the website... the cell phone just lets you tweet while you're out and about.
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
I'm @MasterpieceFP on twitter, it gets confusing though because I also have a personal twitter so I tent to neglect this one... I wish I could link them easier like you can link Facebook pages.
I did link my facebook with my twitter so when I update one it updates the other too which works nicely.

Mine is FacePaintForum
I guess I should use it more.
How did I follow 169 people? I KNOW I didn't do that!

Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
did you set it to automatically follow back anyone that follows you?
As far as "linking" things together, you can use something like HootSuite to let you post to multiple things at a time.

Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
Twitter has been a great tool for me. When I approach a business I can mention that I am on Twitter and Facebook and have followers who most likely will attend that business if they hire me. That's why it's great to have as many followers as you possibly can. I try to run little promotions where people can LIKE or FOLLOW me and they then receive a discount. I also try to cross promote with other local businesses. I still love the coupons and samples that get sent right to my account.
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
Perry I looked all around and can't find that setting. Can you help me?
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
you know, I'm not sure how it's done really... I've just read that some people do it.... if you don't know how, I don't think it can happen automatically because not everyone's does it. Not sure.
Re: Twitter Accounts - How-To & List Here
I do have Twitter account. I don't use it too much.
I think I used all my energy on Facebook.
I will use your advice BekahCat to link Facebook and twitter. Thank you
