multiple Pay Pal accounts
Can you have 2? I have one that is a family one, so the name isn't really connected to me personally or to my business. I'd like to have one that is for my business only but can't work out if that is allowed or not. Does anyone know? I'm in Australia so rules might be a bit different but figured it was worth asking just in case someone knows. Every time I try to read up on it my kids go nuts, so computer time is limited at the moment.

I'm not sure Bast, but it seems to recognise your email account,
When I tried to set mine up, it wouldnt allow it as i had the email address attached to my hubby's account as well as his (2 email addresses, I paypal account).
So I removed my email address from his account and now my hubby has one that we all use attached to his email address and I have one for my stuff attached to my email address

Re: multiple Pay Pal accounts
I have a business email so that would be ok. I'm going to set it up over the weekend when I'm child free, and able to read up on it. I'm sure it should be ok, but sometimes rules come up that shock me.
Re: multiple Pay Pal accounts
Each paypal account is associated with a separate email address. So you could have a new account associated with your business email, but could not have a 2nd account associated with your family's email address.
If you own your own domain name, you can use google business apps to create as many business email addresses as you like so you know what goes to each. For example:
paypal@facepaintingbusiness.com <--made up name
So you know only paypal info goes to that account.
This is something I haven't done yet but wish I had since using the julie@thegildedcat.com to funnel all emails is getting time consuming to sort them.

Re: multiple Pay Pal accounts
I used to work there... You can have one per email. Or link up to 7 emails to one account so if you want it all in one place but separate emails to give to your clients. Pay Pal will link your separate accounts in their system by SSN or Tax ID # so they can keep track of if you as an individual for if you are making large amounts of money so they know if they need to report your income to the IRS... You can also get a debit card (free) to use the money in the account directly instead of waiting for it to transfer to your bank account (LOVE THIS). They are also coming out with a card reader like Square sometime in the near future. Before I left I heard it was sometime in November. Not sure if that launch date has changed. ALSO trick I learned, make sure you send your invoice as services NOT for items (meaning do NOT use their invoice since it does not allow you to bill it as a service) Just sent a request for money as services and send them a separate email with an invoice using your own software or something... Billing as a service will not be subject to any holds where as billing from the invoice or billing as a product means it can be subject to the funds being put on hold for 21 days or being held until 3 days after confirmed delivery. Since we can't give a tracking number for us going to a party you have to wait the full 21 days. I learned this the hard way at Christmas time... Gig on the 18th client failed to pay at party and finally paid his bill on Dec 23rd. I didn't see a dime of that money until some time in January...
If you have some questions on the best way to send the money request let me know. I might be able to help I only just left in April.
