sooo excited! I'm singing while on the way to the bank!! lol

Ok so I'm not sure how it is for most of you but for us, weekends arent bad but during the week it can just be so dead and i knew there had to be a way to market face painting to a broader range of events/reasons...soooo we registered our new business(under our current one) .... we are going to do balloon-a-grams and singing-tele-grams!! but in painted faces!
One fellow hired us to go painted like a husky(you know the design,where you paint your closed eyes like the dog too) anyhow lol and went with a placard that said'who let the dogs out" happy birthday rob from the rest of the pack! it was wayyyyy fun but i'm struggling with how much to charge before i make up my cards, flyers and put it on the website? I was thinking it should be between 30-50$??? what do you guys think? I was thinking the singing ones would or perhaps should be slightly higher? love your opinions, love this forum... am learning so much from all of you thanks so much! truly... never thought i could get paid to do this, especially for a girl that cant even draw! am hoping and praying to make enough this summer so hubby and I can take the kids to walt disney world, have never been, in fact have never had a vacation ever as a family so i am soo excited and a wee bit driven..lol anyhow... cant wait to hear whatcha all think

Our local lady does an awesome job of this(we sometimes team up & my daughter face paints for her). She has tons of costumed characters she uses as well. I'd do this if I could sing. She hires people who are performers, drama & music majors, etc.

She charges between $75-$95. She also has some add ons like
$10-$30 mileage/gratuity
$35 flowers
$25 cake
$10 for a teddy bear
If you balloon twist you could also offer balloon bouquets, cakes, etc.

love the balloon twist idea could save me some money as opposed to helium balloon arrangements, thanks! we dont do costumes though just the full face paint designs with the balloons and a placard with the special occassion message. wow she get a good price eh! perhaps i will lean to the 50$ range thanks Linda

I'm thinking the price also covers the amount of gas & time it takes to drive from one part of town to the other & having to change characters along the way.
