my little bit of happy news to share ...i am sooo excited !

Oh my gosh ! i just wanted to share my little news ! i was painting at the market this weekend, and i was asked if i would like to come to a night club and paint the waitresses before their shifts start ! i am excited ! They will pay my hourly rate, and if they like it , they might get me on a regular basis ! Yeah ! i also booked a 2 company picnics and a wedding ! i have never done anything like the night club ! Do you think i should order some UV colors ? I feel like .... like .... A REAL painter ! woohoo !

Any thoughts !

I also have my first adults-only venue gig booked for this upcoming Thursday. I'm excited for the change of age-range (at least adults will sit still right? In theory...). Goodluck with yours!

UV colours are good IF they have black lights in the club. Madhatters does, but I'm not sure about the others.

Otherwise the brighter colours and black, white and gold are good.

Should i be nervous about using "neon"paints? are they safe , i am sorry for asking , but i don't know who else to ask, there is soooo much mixed info on the topic ! they look sooo nice i would love to have some - but ! i am that personality that will worry about using it if i don't know for sure !

They are safe. If they are sold and labelled as cosmetics they have been approved for use on the skin. At the clubs you're painting adults so they are making their own decision.

The UV colours are very popular - particularly the pink and green.

There is no black light, so i will order some neons and paint away !I really appreciate everyone being willing to share all of their knowledge, i have learned sooo much in the last 5 months being part of this forum , what a great group !

Fun! I just did one a couple of weeks ago - so great! Where/what's yours?

Drunk people move around a lot, so if you're painting the patrons, be aware

Bring a camping lamp to set on your table if it's really dark. Don't forget your tip jar. People in clubs/bars love to tip & tip well!
