angiespaintbrush wrote:Maaike...Where did you get your kit from? It looks sturdy and compact. I googled it but was unable to find anything like it.
I got it almost ten years ago by our local hardware store (Gamma, for the Dutch girls)
Inside it is adjustable so I can fit everything perfectly in.
Shall I make mor pictures of the inside? Maybe you gan get an idea and look for something similar?
It is actually a toolbox.

angiespaintbrush wrote:question , since i have yet to learn how to post something and just know how to comment. Do you use one sponge for each customer or use one sponge for each color???????
There's a lot of debate on this subject & it often depends on the health regulations of your area. I'm not under any health codes in my area, but still like to offer 1 sponge per child. It makes the organizers & parents happy. To figure out how many sponges I need I average using about 20 sponges an hour, so for a 2 hour gig, I make sure I have 40 sponges.
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Linda the mirror sits in one of the square spots (like the glitters are sitting in) & I can take it out to show the kids how they look when finished. It's one of those mirrors that one side you see things close up & the other side is normal. The kids do like to look at themselves in it but they don't cause a problem leaning on Maxi. I also have another free standing mirror on another table that has advertising on it (business & postcards) & they can happily look till their hearts content.

Wow Linda, great set up. Your kids do balloons and glitters in the same tent?
Do you need the Huggies for facepainting? Is there some secret use of diapers I don't know of?

Nancy I use huggies for wiping my hands, & if there's an over paint area that needs cleaning away.
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)

It really looks as diapers to me. I also use babywipes, but our bags are much smaller. I think everything is bigger in the USA, even the packages with babywipes ha ha.

HaHa! I was given those huggies at my churches last event when I face painted for them. I'm partial to the generic wipes as they're unlabeled... but free is good... and they could have been useful from another thread on here about Poop on a Stool
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
That's interesting I have had my Fatmax for quite a long while and it has some miles on it including going up and down stairs.....and it still looks good.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with yours.

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
I took pictures this past weekend just for this thread!! My daughter and I painted together for this festival so this is the setup with both of our kits. We shared my homemade splits that are in the Wolfe pallets on the table. When I paint alone, I have them sitting on the centre section of my FM, and I have no table.
Finally organized my suitcase
Since I have my paints now I finally organized my cool suitcase from Lowes. I love it now. I can't believe how much fit in it when I started using the foam divider. I'm planning on just this and the black bag for parties and small events.
I'll take a picture of my tent set-up sometime but I LOVED the camp kitchen I got from Cabela's. I hid away all the junk stuff...either in the zipper cases or behind, the table was higher, paper towel holder, etc.

These are soooo nice and clean! I am green with envy and bow to your superior organizational skillz!
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Daizy Where did you find your kit? I had a small make up case like it and it worked great for over a year. I only paid $29. for it, so not bad, would like to find a sturdier one like yours.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
I just got my FAt max and am still playing with it. After seeing all your pics I love that it can be my kit and a table. I will post pics soon!!
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Isabelle, like your set up. i have the same chair. Bought it recently from Ikea, for just 12.95 euro. (18.36 dollar). I like it, but I need a stepstool for the kids to climb.
Denise, that's a very neat suitcase. Do you get all the paints out for a gig and put them open on the table? Or do you get the one you need?

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
So far I've just used it for "meet the client" appointments so they could see that I was organized and ready and then I would paint them or their kids while I was there. On actual paint days I'm planning on getting everything out like I did at the fair, putting all the lids in a baggie, black hand towel under the water to wipe my brushes, etc.
The only thing I've missed in the suitcase is a water cup. I've been using a squirt bottle and then cleaning the brushes when I got home, I think I do need one of those collapsible cups.

I have that exact tool box too. I got mine at Menards for $29.00. I love it. I can fit my face paints in the top and my clown things in the big bottom compartment. I like that it is taller than the fat max.
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Suzy Is that picture board your only one? That is a great idea I have those bead cases too and I was just talking to my DH about numbering my desings and that would help! I just got a fat max but I love the drawers on that. I dont like that I have to have my whole kit open to work out of it, it is so big.
