Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Ok First off I ask for patience with this. For those of you who have done this a few time I am sorry. There have been a lot of threads about kits. We all wanna see what you have! I , myslef, am in the market for a new kit. I have been looking at the Fat max but I also know some of you ise other stuff. I just wanna see what you got! WHat you use and how you set it up. Mabey even what you like/dont like about it. Again, I know alot of you have done this already but I would like to get them all in one place vs being scatterd through out pages in 100's of threads. Thank you so much. Seing your pics of your set ups will help me A LOT!!!
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)

I'm spewing! I had my sights set on a FATMAX and it turns out that it won't fit in the coupe. Still stuck with enviro bags. Lookin forward to some inspiration!

I haven't got any really good ones of our set up. This shows it after a few hours. DH is the messy side to the front and my set up is on the far side (top of the photo).
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
The tablecloth isn't in here. I take one extra bag with me with the tablecloth, some decorating fabric, decoration flowers and other stuff to make my table look pretty.
Oh, the splitcakes arn't in here, they still need to find their place, no problem; maybe I'll kick something else out.

Shannon I love Your Car!!! I looked at other stuff on your blog, you are amazing!
Dazy and Maaike- I can believe how much stuff you both have in those little cases. I am thinking about a Fat Max but I dont think I have enough to fill it (yet) so it may be over killl at this point but I have to much for my little set up now. I just switched to a bead case for my paints and I love it but it wont fit in much . Thank you guys for posting. I have been going through forum withdraws!!!!So glad to be back.

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow. I'll have my tent setup.
I'm a fatmax user & love every bit of it even after a years use. If there was one thing I'd be concerned about it would be if a child leaned on & broke my lid(that I leave open & use as a table). I'm very over protective of the kit & not letting kids near it or touch it for that reason.

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Here is my pics, I added my split cakes to it this morning YAHOO! I play an easy game of tetris, I still have room to grow. This suitcase has wheels on it, (or a handle on each side) so I just merrily drag it along everywhere.
to set up I just put it all out on table. The witch shoe is my brush holder, a yard sale find of 50 cents. Roller up in the pirate chest is my banner and 3 handheld mirrors. Not very professional, but Im happy with it. for now, lol

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
This is my set up, the pics are a wee bit old now as I have added more to my kit, new colours, new brush wallet etc. If I can I'll get a pic from this weekend I've got a few gigs on. One of the things I like the most is that I can do ONE trip from my car to a gig & have everything with me. Using an occy strap to attach my director's chair to the fatmax for easy travel.
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
I may be going back to using a suitcase because my FatMax is falling apart already and it's only been a few months. The front handle cracked off and the little knob holding the side bar locks cracked off. Not cool. The suitcase was lighter than the fatmax though. It just sucks that I found a way to work out of it so perfectly.
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Tanya,
Your Fatmax shouldn't have broke that quickly. I'd take it back(if you have the receipt... and you should for tax purposes, use it... if not just ask for an exchange). Mine was broke when I got it home(the handle would pull out & pop off). I returned it & exchanged for a good one & it works great.
Mandi, what is the clear plastic tray thing on the middle tear of your fatmax?

Tara, way cool suitcase, I bet kids love it!
btw I got a fat-max and I am not sure I like it TOO HUGE.
I had a birthday party today and I put everything in 2 of those bags Metina has in her shop and that was so easy to carry. I think I know what i am going to give my husband for fathers day HA!

Daizy!!! I need that black box!!!
So I have a similar one that is silver and opens in the opposite direction. The good part is I have 2 extra places to put crap when i open it (the lid)
The problem is, the thing is a wimp and the weight of my many paints is breaking it.
about 25ish cakes distributed on each side is apparently heavy enough to unglue the leather from the sides which is where the hinges are connected.
I think it is because it opens the opposite way and does not have the actual box behind it to support it like yours.
Are your hinges connected to leather that is glued to the side of the box also?
Does anyone have an idea to fix it?
I am reluctant to get the fat max because
1. I am not gentle.
2. I am addicted to the folding trays.
If there was a Fatmax like box that had a tackle/makeup type top with the pull-out/folding trays perhaps I could learn to be gentle...

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
I love the FatMax , thought about getting one but it's too big for me. Wouldn't fit in my car neither. I own a Yaris..lol Besides I have problems with my back and just to think I will have to lift it makes me ache.
I'm currently using a scrapbook rolling tote, everything fits in there, and the way I have placed everything makes my set up and clean up way easier and faster. If I'm doing glitter tattoos I add the messenger bag Metina's gave away with purchase. I even get my light fixture in there when I do events at night. I'll post some pics later.

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Linda that clear plastic container shown here a bit closer for you.
Is a make-up sorter type thingy. I bought it from Chickenfeed which is a discount store here in Tazzie for $20 which was a bargain. It super how it organizers all my extra things. I can easily pack it just like it is in the pic into my fatmax - Maxi - & pull it out ready to go. My set up time is less than 5mins.

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
That's pretty cool! Is the mirror attached? I like that the kids can look into it. Do they try to lean on your fatmax to get a look at themselves in the mirror? That might be a concern for me.... But still very cool. I'm going to be on the lookout for something similar....
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Linda you should check the container store.. I got one similar for $12..

Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
question , since i have yet to learn how to post something and just know how to comment. Do you use one sponge for each customer or use one sponge for each color???????
Re: Your KIT!!! (Pics)
Maaike...Where did you get your kit from? It looks sturdy and compact. I googled it but was unable to find anything like it.
