Puppy Problems Empty Puppy Problems

Post by JinkxyKitten Wed Apr 13, 2011 1:21 pm

Hello! I have always had issues with my dogs/puppys. I think most of the problem is with the ears but I have never been completely satisfied with them. I know I want a full face, not just the nose and ears but I haven't been having much luck. Here are a few pics of past puppies...
#1 is from last summer (sooo bad)
#2 is my first attempt at a new puppy
#3 are attempted revamps of the dalmation, tried longer/lower ears than #2

Any thoughts, suggestions, pictures?

Thanks!

Puppy Problems Empty Re: Puppy Problems

I think the nose needs to be wider in the middle. My puppy noses are much bigger than cat noses. I worked awhile before I got a design I liked. Here it is:

Puppy Problems 188693_173715352679704_136231506428089_430445_4964855_n

I think it looks cuter with the muzzle going up even higher than the nose, because it's like the snout part of the dog. You could try something like this only fill in more around the sides.

yeah, you're doing more of a tiger nose...with the nice round nose, it's more puppyish. Cute dalmation!! love it!

I actually don't think your puppies are bad. I always hated my puppies to though. This is inspired by someone elses puppy and has become my favorite puppy to do.

Mine is very similar to Gina's. I also do it in different colors, but the basic shape stays the same.

I just do a version of the Wolfe brother's basic puppy (with a few changes of my own). It's quick yet effective, and even easy to do on the wigglers.

I find that for a good puppy nose, I usually make an arch up and over the nose and then paint it all in.

I love your puppies Jinks! The dalmation is a great one. I agree with the others - all it needs is a bigger, rounder nose.

This is similar to the dog that I do - I do not have a picture of my own to share, this one is from a company called Face-It and their website is http://face-it.co.nz/

I hope it is okay to post this pic - I am giving full credit of course to the original artist at the website noted above. I repeat, this is NOT my design (I wish it was!!!) Very Happy
