What is the best pump for balloons?

I need to know what you guys use for your pumps? We use a nitrogen tank right now or at birthday parties just the hand pump. But, The tank is heavy and cumbersome, I need something that will stay charged and easy to carry around. What is the best thing to use?

I started with the dual action pump. The purple and pink one. But, found it leaks air when you stop pumping it at all.
So, I just bought a red "ketchup" pump and it is awesome. More accurate when pumping up balloons.

I also use the red pump. I have an electric one that came with the balloon arch kit that I bought, but it's really loud and wouldn't give me as much control.

I prefer the red pump(Ketchup bottle). The purple one is a pain & the tip is harder to get the balloons onto.
I've always wanted to try the stand up ones. They look so cool, but I'm afraid I'd make the financial investment & decide I like the hand pump better.

For parties where I'm doing FP as well, I bring my ketchup pump and the tiny 160 pump. When I'm at a trade show or doing BT only, I bring my floor pump - and I looooooove it!

I bought a Pump O locally and blinged the top out/made a case and it's fabulous during long events - I've done multiple hours with a hand pump before and can't move my arms after

Just went to Twist & Shout, though, and I do think that the next time I go, I'll be buying a filbert...they're great!

What is a filbert? I know that my husband wants to get one that is electric or battery operated. I just want something easy that can crank out some major balloons fast.

I have seen the floor pumps. I do about 100 balloon sculptures,and maybe pump up 300 or 400 balloons total each day at my weekend events so, the tanks have worked great for the volume of balloons. But, too big really and I need something easier to work with. So would that be a good idea?
I don't mean to be really dingy but I don't know what a ketchup pump is either? Is that the standard hand pump? Thanks!

What about this twist n flate or the 260 e floor pump? That one is like $179 or something? S I need something that expensive? I looked up the filbert and it is much more reasonable....

I too would like to know what the "ketchup" pump is. I would like to make sure Angel has the right kind of pump. She seems to work with the one she got at Fabbulas just fine but if there's something better out there I would like to see.

the ketchup bottle pump is just a single action hand pump... it happens to be red and looks like a ketchup bottle...

I use a filbert floor pump.. LOVE it! It's VERY light weight and you get to order it in whatever colors you want

Oh yes...the Filbert pump is what my husband and I use and we LOVE it! It is light weight and pumps up balloons in one second. The Filbert pump is a floor pump and you can customize it to the color arrangement you want. Mine is pink,white and yellow, my husband's is black and red (his fave soccer team).

So far my experience with a Filbert pump has been negative. I never received any confirmation after ordering. I did get a paypal receipt. I waited 5 weeks and heard nothing. I called and it took nearly 5 minutes to locate my order. The person kept asking for my name and when I ordered over and over. I was told they could make it and send it out in a few days. What if I hadn't called? It showed up today with glue smeared around the bottom. I know it is glued together but didn't expect to see that much excess glue. I had been told to buy the mac pump by a few balloon instructors. They all had negative experiences with Filbert service. I called and was told the glue would "work its way off." I like overall how it looks since I picked out the colors. I just hope it lasts so I don't have to call again.

Well, I am happy that I called so they could dig up my order and send me my pump after waiting 6 weeks. So far my Filbert Pump has been a much needed addition. I have used hand pumps similar to the "ketchup pump" for over 20 years now. Since I normally just do balloons at birthday parties, I never had a need for a bigger pump. I cleaned up my Filbert Pump and have been using it like crazy. I'm doing a 4 hour balloon performance and a festival so this type of pump is perfect!

Bought a Majiloon from Kenosha Magic a few years ago, and I love it--fanny pack with dual compressor, runs on a lithium battery so it recharges in an hour--and have had VERY positive help (with the fan going out after a year) with FAST turn-around from the owner, DJ!

never heard of the maji loon pump. I saw that it takes a filbert like 4 weeks to order, I did get the two smaller hand pumps, but after paying out $50 in rental tank fees....deciding I need to order something else ASAP.
