White Squirrels?

Well have you ever heard of a white squirrel? How about a jackalope? How about a skink?
Well I have been challenged to come up with cheek designs featuring a White Squirrel and as someone who cant really do animals very well I knew I had to go ask my friends on the Forum. Any ideas of how to paint a sqirrel are welcome...It needs to be simple as it only goes on a cheek!! And I suspect it will be on lots of small children's cheeks! I think I coud do the head/ears and tail but its the body that has be blank.

Thanks for suggestions, miss yoko. There really are white squirrels, NOT an albino squirrel. The white squirrel is somewhat unique and a native to the mountains of western north carolina, in Transylvania County, YES< that's a real county name! They have a white squirrel festival this summer.

So does awhite squirrel look like a regular kind of squirrel only white? Or is it some entirely dirferent creature that I've never actually heard of?

So I didn't forget about the squirrels- just been super busy with school and haven't really even had time to unload my camera! IF they look like regular squirrels- then check out this easy pouncer idea--

When I lived in Minnesota,I actually saw 2 white squirrels in ONE day! or it may have been the same one twice, anyway, I've heard they are a mutant of regular squirrels and very rare. Just like a white deer. I did a little quickie painting of one I found on the internet-hopes this helps!

Geekophile, don't put yours down - it's a really cute design that is perfect for a cheek, and is do-able (even I might be able to do it!!). I love Photomomma's (it's adorable!) but I would never be able to reproduce it or even come close. But both designs will help the original poster come up with her own design!

I just wanted to clarify that absolutely no offense was taken by me and I would hope no one else was bothered by what I said either. I totally meant my comment to mean that Photomomma's squirrel was way awesome and nothing more. Like when you say "I hate you" because your girlfriends butt looks great in a bikini. --you don't really hate her, your're just jealous of her butt. Please tell me you know what I'm saying?

That said, I don't dislike my design either. (Again, next to Photomomma's...) But I think mine is good also because it is simple. It can be easily and consistently replicated in a festival atmosphere with three dots of a pouncer. Three minutes tops.

I like them both, either in it's own way.

I understand what you're saying Geekophile. I also posted something like that and got the same reaction. We just have to look at your text under your post 'open your heart and let the sun shine in' to know that your post wasn't meant that way. And ofcourse photomomma didn't intend to.
I think we all know that nobody on this forum is trying to offend someone, but just wanting to share and to learn.
I am not on this forum for a long time, so maybe this sounds strange from a newbie, but that's just how i feel.

HI everyone, well, geckofile, your idea is one I could possibly try to do in white/cream paint with gray detail work and I absolutely LOVE the adorable acorn!! Just large pouncer dots and a few flicks for ear tufts, a bushy tail and the short strokes for arm and foot...oh you make it look easy. I will have to practice...this is JUST the sort of idea I was hoping for. It is a design that is harder is mess up, its got "FLEXAPPEAL"! If I put eyeglasses on it and give it a calculator to hold it can be called a "Geek 0 squirel! Thank you, I am honored with everyones responses!!! Gotta try it!
