Neon white that shows up... white?`
I thought I remember hearing that someone had a UV/Neon white that actually showed up white under regular light. Was I dreaming?

Wolfe Face Art & FX makes a UV reactive white. It goes on clear and glows under black lights. It does not appear white in regular lighting. Paint for Uv is best done in black light (not full but some) so you can see your end results.

Loretta, do you think that if I were to mix... Say.. DFX white with the neon white it would show under blacklights?
I'm curious too.

If you paint the UV white, and then lay down Wolfe white over, the UV glows. (Cannot properly capture this effect on my iPhone).
If you actually mix the two together (on a separate palette) you do create a UV reactive white.
If you lay down a base of UV white, and then put the white over the top, the UV glows THROUGH the regular white.
If you paint the Wolfe white, and then paint the UV over the top, it glows.
If you spill some UV on your arm, and then wipe it up, invisible to the naked eye, the UV STILL GLOWS under UV light, even though you cannot see it in regular light.

Yea I've played with the white/neon white thing. I just thought someone had made a mix. Already. Apparently I'm dreaming.

One can lay down the Wolfe white then add a layer of Wolfe clear for a white to white glow effect.
And in general the clear is not 100% clear or invisible but it creates a wash, such a light white. And yes once washed of the UV clear will remain in a residue that continues to glow. So if you are painting say wait staff that works near UV lighting daily I'd not use the clear.
