Anybody ever heard of this company. They contacted me calling themselves one of the industries leaders. I've never heard of them and can't find a brand or prices on their stuff.

Re: Paint company
Those guys are out of asia - crappy stuff, horrible stencils!!! I know because I have some of their stuff from another supply company.....Run run!!!!!
Re: Paint company
I thought so. It looked super cheap and not very high quality which is why I asked. Thanks for the input.
Re: Paint company
I'm always cautious when someone toots there own horn instead of showing what others(references) have to say.
Re: Paint company
I have seen Golden Phoenix airbrush paints on other websites when I was looking for the alcohol based paints. I decided to forgo the brand for Temptu. There is also paint from Phoenix inks and I think that is where I got confused. It is weird that there is Japanese (Chinese?) writing on their form and no prices. Crazy.

Re: Paint company
ok I hate to break it to you but Golden Phoenix is a company that runs directly from the Chinese factory that makes Facepaint Australia, Tag and DFX
Their facepaint is exactly the same as Tag. If my hubby was here I would give you the Chinese name for the company.
I have their airbrush tattoo stencils - they come in a book so are very easy to store and locate, have round edges and are top quality. I won't use anything else as they make like 20 books with up to 100 stencils in any one book.
I'm just about to buy their airbrush ink - because it is the same as ABA sells.
Golden Phoenix don't have prices listed as the price changes according to how much you buy. If you send them an email stating what you are interested in they will send you a quote or a price list that is good for three months.
A lot of what they seel comes unbranded so you can brand them yourself.
If you ask for an ingrediant list they will supply one and you will see it is the exact same as Tag/ DFX.
They are fast on shipping and once I got a quote and when I went to buy a book of stencils the price had gone up - but they stuck to the quote they gave me. The book that arrived was the wrong one - so they just sent me the right one - no more to pay.
It's a good company - unfortunately Chinese companies get a bad wrap - but if you are looking to buy straight from the manufacturer ..... then you found them.
They are not lying about being one of the biggest sellers of body and face paint in the world.
I'm still considering buying some paints and branding them Face Art by Tash to sell to my clients and other artists.

Re: Paint company
It doesn't really matter to me where they were made, I absolutely hate their stencils. They are the poorest quality I have ever worked with. I am glad that they work for you though.
Re: Paint company
Did you buy a book? or just samples?
Are they the green ones?
I'm confused because I bought stencils from three other suppliers before them and they had the thickest medium out of the lot. The stencils are all numbered and 1 -2 per pg so they are so easy to pull out and put back.
The rounded edges make it so much more easy for application......
I would be very interested to know what stencils you are using... may be I'm wrong and don't know what good quality is.
I get at least 8-15 uses out of each stencil... and that's without cleaning and relaying a sticky back, the spray is easier to see on the green as apposed to black ones... and they supply display posters etc...... you found something better then this?

Re: Paint company
If you have a look here it says they can make any colour you want, and gives you a basic ingredient run down if you are interested.
Re: Paint company
I bought little sample pots of their neons to compare to Tag.... they are so cute... they screw together just like the 90g pots..... I only have the neons but I can do a comparison if you like.
Re: Paint company
I will say this - I am VERY hard on the stencils that I use in airbrushing. After working high volume events I know that I need something that can be used again and again. I have always used white mylar stencils, but I wanted to give these a try. I have the books, and I agree about the convenience, I just found that many of them ripped the first time I used them. That to me is inconvenient.
Re: Paint company
It's good to know that this might be a great option for some products. I will have to check them out again, as I need more alcohol based paints, and realize that I can use the ones for airbrush to paint with most of the time.

Re: Paint company
Damn that sucks that they ripped on you.
I haven't had this happen as of yet.... my man said it has happened once but only because he was in a mad rush and not carefull enough.
Are the white Mylar stencils adhesive?
Sorry no comparison yet - left my cam at a friends.
I have heard their pearl inks for airbrush are wishywashy so I guess you only find out by giving it a go sometimes.
