Re: my first ever belly painting
Event, I think it looks nice. Having the model stand & drawing out the design in white paint helps. If you map out the design while they are sitting, it often changes shape once they stand. Maybe extending the holly into a continuing pattern around the design. It's usually good to find a way to camouflage the belly button into the design. Don't worry about tiring out the model. It's usually considered very relaxing. Just have healthy snacks to munch on, water or juice to drink & ask often if they need a potty break
When taking the photo, have mom stand I wrap her arms around the design & rest her hands on either side of it. This helps frame the design & cover any imperfections she'd be uncomfortable with.
Congrats for taking the plunge into belly painting. I'm soo hooked & wish I could find more models in my area.

Re: my first ever belly painting
Your detail on the holly leaves and berry is great. I would try to extend that to the icing and cupcake to add more dimension like if it was popping out from her belly
Re: my first ever belly painting
It's not bad... My suggestion to add would be to add embellishments, like we do with faces, to give it extra pizazz. Like dots and swirls around the edges.
