Latest Belly!

Still waiting for photos from the pro photog's, but I snapped a couple to tide me over in the meantime!

Momma and Daddy said they didn't have a theme, but they'd been reading Baby Dr Seuss books - or, if that was too hard, I could just do a bunch of words. And I thought - challenge accepted!





The word on the right is Hebrew for "Love." Momma got into it - pulled out a blue wig, and took some shots holding The Cat In The Hat above her belly - so excited to see the photos!

I've got another belly next week, so keep an eye on this thread!

After I was done, I realised I could have gone a bit bigger, but too late for that, plus mom was super happy already, and told me she spent the rest of the day walking around her apartment with her belly exposed

Thanks! Yeah, bellies are great to paint - baby was so active, too! Fabulous.

I outlined in white first, and the photogs were sitting around like, "mmmkay, THIS is the painting we're supposed to be shooting?" - once we added colour and outlined it, their attitude's had totally changed

so so cute!

Cheryl, the banner is there because the Cat in the Hat logo on the books has the Cat holding a book open - and we changed that into a sign instead!

OMG! I love Dr. Seuss! wonderfull job! I did a mural of Dr Seuss and had such fun! this was marvelous! I'd love a chance to do a belly sometime!

My Dr Seuss was my favorite belly ever! Great job!

As for the photogs... Children and fools should never see things half-done. But, that could be why photography is their art form.

Terntam - find a belly and do it! Seriously - it's so fab. Lots of canvas to work with (lol), so I find it handy to sketch out first...

kristal- I just did my first ever belly painting ( except for halloween when i was pregnant and made my belly a pumpkin) and used your fish bowl as inspiration! (I hope you don't mind!) While mine didn't turn out as great as yours, my friend LOVED it so I wanted to tell you thank you for sharing your wonderful talent!
