My latest belly painting
I did this belly yesterday. It turned out ok, but the white and black were tacky and didn't seem to want to dry. Those two colors were Tulip brand. I guess I will have to try a different white and black for bellies because my friend wanted to be able to put a loose shirt on but was reluctant because of the tacky paint. It was so tacky that when I accidentally very lightly touched it, the paint came off on my finger along with the blue base coat underneath it (it was just a spot and easily touched up, but still...).

I think this is just lovely!! you did a great job..the roses are gorgeous and you did a great job on the blending...Big thumbs up.

I love how soft your colors are. Interesting about the Tulip brand. They had a BUNCh of it on clearance for like $3 the other day. Glad I didn't bite now. With as humid as it can be here it would never work for me.
Re: My latest belly painting
Thank you for the kind compliments everyone.
Sophie, I think you are right. The humidity level was about 100% that day as it was raining and has been raining ever since! I'm sure that probably had something to do with the tacky paint.

Re: My latest belly painting
White and black are the only Tulip paint I have because I read that post where someone did a review of it and showed the staining of the other colors. White and black don't stain, but as I just noted, they remained tacky when the other paint was dry on this belly painting I just did. I'm not sure why. Perhaps it was because of the humidity, but maybe it was because I had to do a little more layers of the white paint due to painting on top of the blue base. I don't know. Maybe a combination of the two? I also noticed this summer when it was hot and humid that the Tulip white was goopy and sticky, making it hard to work with. I just want to use it up and get a different brand.
