announcing: JAM in south central PA area (York area) - all welcome and invited!

Tentatively scheduled for Sunday Nov 7th (late afternoon). Restaurant location to be determined. It will be VERY informal since RMPLEMINTZ and I are figuring this out as we go We plan to keep this as stress-free, relaxed, and fun as possible.

ALL are invited, regardless of ability level! If you are a beginner, please come, learn from us - don't worry, we can find ways to learn from *you* too. The only thing you need to bring (other than a small kit) is a willingness to support and nurture your new FP friends, in a friendly and sharing environment. We hope the inclusive and friendly atmosphere will permeate all of our jams in the future.

We are up to four so far

My mom is originally from York, grew up there I love going to the market I love the red brick building and those green doors. For a longggggg time growing up as a kid that was the only place we could get UTZ potato chips......they were not being sold in New Jersey back then. I also used to love going to the York Peppermint Patty Factory located over by Pershing St. My great uncle would always get me candy from there. Oh and the York Fair was alot of fun too.

I am not sure the York peppermint factory is still there... I think they sold the company to some big evil conglomerate
But all the rest... yup, you got it! The market is exactly the same today, though the GM is really trying to revitalize it... I had fun painting there this morning. Did not make a lot of money (about 50% dead time and my prices were on the lower end), but I have a handful of leads to larger events, so in the end, very worthwhile.
