Favorite Sci Fi Show

OK, since we took over someones thread w/ Dr Who... I decided to start this thread for or geekier side

For me it was Firefly. I think FOX were idiots for never giving the show a good slot & realizing the gem in the rough they had.

yay Sci-Fi! I love Firefly too! And the new Battlestar Galactica series. Even Babylon 5, but I never got to see that one all the way through. But I will have to bring up Doctor Who again. I could never get enough of this show. I had a friend in college who had everything and anything connected to Doctor Who. We would watch the currently aired on PBS Friday night, then he would show me an episode or so, starting from the very very first Doctor. I didn't see all of the Tom Baker years, so Peter Davidson was my favourite Doctor, which was really awesome when in the "Time Crash" David Tennent special he meets the Peter Davidson Doctor and virtually says he was his Doctor.

I don't watch much TV but I'm a Firefly fan!! I just finished watching the series on Netflix, and just found the DVD in a pawn shop for $2.50.

Twilight Zone allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way. I have the complete set on dvd and I never miss the marathon they run. Rod Serlings creative genius was way beyond it's time. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

I watched the Tom Baker years & then got busy w/ friends & lost track of Dr Who. I need to find it all on DVD & watch it all again.

I liked Battlestar Galactica, all the new Star Treks & Stargate. We're giving Stargate Universe a run, but... not sure if I like the new plot twist.

Doctor Who aka NewWho I LOVE them, I watch all 5 series over and over, they rotate in my DVD player all day long.
I love Fantasy and SCIFI, I also read ALOT a book a day or every other day there abouts.

I like Tales from the Dark Side and the Twilight Zone, but I like the older Twilight shows better than the newer ones. I used to stay up late and watch those shows in the wee hours of the morning and scare myself awake all night long! LOL! I never really watch much TV these days though.

I have to agree with the Twilight Zone, too. I loved the marathons growing up, but haven't seen one in ages.

Love Star Trek, Old and Next Generation, even DS9. Heroes was pretty good too.

I'm not sure of some of the new mainstream Sci Fi wannabes. I watched the pilot of The Event & kindof felt they missed the mark.

I like most USA shows now(though they're not sci-fi).

I don't know how I could have forgotten it, but I really loved Red Dwarf, tho I missed it's last season. The rest of it was awesome though!

Oh thank you! I read the Packsonarion books years ago and forgot who wrote them... now I am in a sci-fi book club and wanted to suggest those for us to read! My hubby would very much enjoy them I am sure!

There's a new book in the "Paks" series. It starts off a little slow, but shows potential & will be part of a new series. Paks only has a few cameo appearances, but it's focusing on many of the side characters.

I missed out on X-Files. I'll have to check it out on DVD some day. We spent a season of our lives without cable & no channels picked up(we watched a lot of VHS back then).

X-Files was on FOX. I so LOVED that show!!

I never had cable & I still don't.
I refuse to PAY for television...it's just a quirk I have.
