WooHoo!!! I got tack sponges, high density sponges & fantasy sponges from Shannon! I love how they each work! I'm loving the Snaz paint(the only color I do like... how'd ya know?!) & the Fardel silver! That is a really cool paint & I can't wait to play with it!

No, all the sponges were still very compact At 1st I though how thin they were & could I really paint w/ them. It took them about 15 minutes to return to a normal size, but made it much easier to cut them in 1/2

OK, here's my design I did w/ the paints Shannon sent.
I used the fantasy sponge(love, love, love) & blended Fardel Silver w/ Snaz Hot Pink Metallic. I was gonna do a boring old butterfly, but then it evolved into this

OMG I LOVE ANNETTE!!! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU SOOOOO VERY VERY MUCHO, LOL. Seriously, the bat mobile (not that kind, lol) is hanging in my office spreading halloween cheer. The set was way too cute. I cant wait to try the metallic powders, though i need th know the best way to apply them...and your card was awesome (it had a cappuccino cup on it, im guessing b/c i said a starbucks gc?lol). xoxoxoxoxo

You know... I was going to put "instructions" on how to re-constitute the sponges - best way is to submerge in water and they are instantly back to normal!

BTW... my packing secret is... .put sponges in a ziploc bag, place on a hard surface, SIT ON IT, when all sponges are completely flat (depending on the size of your ahem, behind you may find it easier to place a hard tray on top of the bag and THEN sit on it) while pressure is on close the ziploc bag! Then you can fold it up and slip it in an envelope!

When I go on mission trips I pack everything in ziplock bags, just that way.
So, what's the best use for the Fardel Silver? Sponge... line work or mixing w/ other paint? It's a new paint for me.

Generally the Fardel liquids are for linework. Details, swirls, dots.... the creams are the paints used for the bases.

I wanted to say thank you to my buddy, BluAngL83 for the forum GC! I just purchased some more metallic powders that I wanted to try. It's something I wouldn't ordinarily have to buy so it feels really special to me! Just about everything I buy these days is to refill my working kit and I've been wanting to try the powders but never had a reason to until now! I'll post a pic when they come in and I have a chance to do a design with them. I got the gemstone powder in ruby and the metallic powder in silver. I already have the gold so I know these are going to be awesome!

Hope you don't think I was trying to step on your toes, after you volunteered to organize the next swap - not at all! I think my train of thought was: "if we wanted to do it earlier things would get to people in time for holiday gigs, and she offered for after Thanksgiving but that might not be enough time - but maybe she's busy before then? I'll just offer."
