Sparkle white vs Matallic White
Can you tell me what's the difference and which you prefer and why? I would like to get something with a little opaqueness(Spell, lol). But I think the nature of these is transparent, not sure. Thanks for the help in advance!
Re: Sparkle white vs Matallic White
I have the same question. Some designs look striking with the bold colors of say, DFX metallics. But some have almost a fairy dust glow when they have a Snaz sparkle base....
Re: Sparkle white vs Matallic White
Snaz sparkles are REALLY nice... and they are fairly solid.
In this photo from top... Snaz Electric Purple, Sparkle Lilac, Sparkle Red, Sparkle Orange, Sparkle Yellow... the chin isn't Snaz the blue is Kryolan Interference Bach Blue blended with the yellow

I can never get my snaz sparkles to look like that!!! Is that brushed or sponged on? Mine always cover uneven and parts of it look great and others don't.
Re: Sparkle white vs Matallic White
Sponged with a tack sponge.
I add water to the cakes so that they have a gooey spot, then I load a dry sponge (basically just pick up a bit of paint on the tip of the sponge) and tap on the skin to apply and blend...
I find the Sparkle white isn't as shimmery so tend to use it on top of the regular white where it seems to add a little bit of shimmer, but on its own it isn't as effective.
If you want a nice shiney white base I like Grimas Pearl Silver or Kryolan Interferenz Silver... they are pearly white with nice coverage. I'll find an example for you.

Shannon, LOL!! That little girl just looks tickled to death! You just can't help but to smile back, hehehe! And I didn't realize that a silver would be so white. That makes me chuckle too. Thanks so much for sharing about the application and other colors too! Think I'll give snaz sparkle a try!
