Bought my first car!

It's a 95' honda civic, it looks like a real clunker right now, but that's a work in progress. The guy who sold it to me had some oversized shifting knob that was designed to look like the bullet part of a gun, he' taped up the sides of the bumper with gorilla tape, and put a "BRO" emblem on the back. I'd be too embarrassed to drive it to work now, but as soon as I get it a new hubcap, tires, shifting knob, emblems, speedometer, fix it's bumper, rust, and give it a paint job (thinking of doing it myself), maybe a decal if it looks good enough after all that, and I think I'm good to go! I'm loving the 35mpg it gets. Uploading pictures doesn't work so you'll just have to imagine. It's all black with some gorilla tape holding up part of the bumper, a missing hubcap, and rusty above the back tires. lol

My first car was a 1974 Astre $500. no brakes. The paint had split so bad that you would cut your hand if you ran it along the hood or roof. There was a rust hole so big behind the front tires that you could stick you head in and look around inside! lol. Sanded it down, filled up the holes with body filler and took it to a painter and painted it Candy Apple Red. 5 years later, sold it for $500 to a guy that wanted it for it's great body! lol It CAN be done!

My 1st car was a 1979 Pontiac Phoenix w/ a V8 engine(way more car than any teen should have had.. heehee)! I was the 1st teen in my circle of friends to have a car. I drove her till the transmission dropped out(her name was Phoenix, but she never was reborn). She had a hole under the drivers feet & one time I went through a puddle (more like a "lake") in the road & was soaked from head to toe!
