Give me some names ideas for my puppy!!!

At the end of this month my little family and I will welcome home our new baby!

we thought about maybe calling her
Chamallow which is a French Marsmallows brand.
But if you have any ideas like french names or words that sounds good to you it will be nice! Yeah I know I'm french I should be good to do it myself, but right now I'm stuck! I don't know what to pick!

The only french I know is that rouge louge and red sled rhyme in both languages.

I like Roxanne. Or Roxy.

AWWWWWWWW adorable! My sister in law and I both have great pyrenesse, little mates, wonderful dogs. I have owned 2 of them and they are amazing family dogs.

We named them;
Aurora- after aurora borealis
Shiya- Inuit for snow
Chinook- a warm wind that melts the snow in the winter

Oh, such a sweetie!

Well, I'm not much of a French speaker, Spanish is more of my forte, but she's adorable! She looks like a Molly to me. Just thinking outloud, I know that's not very French... lol. She is just too cute!

Yes she looks adorable! I could go get her this week but as I was travelling I had to wait. I can't wait!

As I'm to my parents home, I spend a lot of time just looking at the dictionnary to get ideas. The dictionnary itself dont gave me so much ideas ... but just looking some stuffs popped .

Now we have :

Cajoline (which is the french snuggle) and that has a meaning of cuddle

Bonbon = candy

Manon = its a girl firstname and also a white chocolate bite

Miette = crumb (In french its cute)

and I keep looking

I did a google search because my french consists of 3 years in highschool-and poorly learned at that LOL but I google well.

Platine-- means platinum
Saule--means willow
Esprit-- means spirit
Soyeux-- means silky
Sagesse-- means wisdom
Brumeux-- means misty
Ailes-- means wings
Lumière-- means light
Etincelle-- means sparkle

If she were mine, and I wanted a French name, I would name her Nicolette and call her Niko, but I also like these:

What you have to keep in mind if you remember your french classes is that in french most of the time we have a different spelling for the feminine version of a word especially when its an adjective.

Then in your list I do like
Saule= willow and you prononce it like soul which is really nice.
Soyeux= silky will be in feminine Soyeuse I have no idea how to tell you the way to pronounce it
and I love Sagesse too

Modernmagik, you're sweet too. And its really funny as Nicolette is more american than french I don't know any Nicolette in France. Nicole yes, Its my mom first name and its my middle name so will sound weird to give my dog a name so close to us.

Desole means sorry it can work if she is a silly dog who does a lot of stupid things

So ok the list is getting bigger. The final decision include for a big part my hubby feeling as he has to be able to pronounce the name.

I saw that Desole meant "sorry", but thought it sounded too pretty to pass up...LOL

OMG! So, I just watched the movie Madeline, and the dog in that movie looks just like what your puppy will look like and the girls named her Genevive (sp?)!!!!! So that's my suggestion... plus I really like that name, lol.

I like Allure, is that french? All i know is that its a wedding dress designer...

Yesterday evening, during diner we did kind of a vote, 'cause we was not able to decide. We started with about 30 names.

And the winner is :

Chamallow

which is a french brand for marsmallows (In France we dont call marsmallows by their french name for a long time. We use only Chamallow)
