Re: Post Submissions Here!
Thanks guys!! oops I mean ladies!
I had a b*tch of a time trying to paint on her bushy eyebrows.... thanks to Portuguese daddy for that
Think I might try another one on myself, I can sit still and I won't insist on watching cartoons at the same time.
lol

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I most of the times do...my kids won't let me paint them anymore whenever I'd like...
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Okay, so Here's my FIRST attemp at a slide show... I have mixed feelings on this one, idk if it will work.
Materials Used:
BRUSHES/SPONGES - #1 round, #0 long bristle liner, #0 short liner, #2 flat, 1 square cosmetic sponge.
PAINT - R.W.B split pallete (Wolfe FX), White, Brown, Black, Golden Rod, Grey, Metalic Red, Metalic Blue, Metalic Gold, and Metalic Silver (all DFX Paint),
GLITTER - Silver, Pale Gold, and Gold Liquid Bling
Step 1: Using cosmetic sponge and R.W.B split pallet, make an arc about 6-8 in. long
Step 2: Using White and Brown paint the basic shape of the eagle. The eagle can be in any pose you like, I found this one using Google images and searched under "bald eagle flying"
Step 3: With the #1round, add preliminary shading to the wings using a dark brown mixed from black and brown, shade the white feathers using grey, and add the beak and feet using golden rod.
Step 4: Add Fireworks using the #0 long bristled liner. Use Metallic Gold for the tails of the fireworks and Metalic red, blue, and silver for the actual fireworks.
Step 5: Outline the Eagle using Black and the #0 short liner. Using the same brush and black add lowlights to the the individual feathers on the wings and deepend the shading under the lower wing.
Step 6: Using Black, outline the fireworks with squiggly lines using the #0 short liner. Using the #0 short liner add highlights to the individual feathers in light brown made from a mixture of white and brown.
Step 7: Add glitter to your hear's content, then add gold liquid bling dots around the fireworks.
And Viola! Here is the final Product!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
punky, I think I can help you!!
Go to www.photobucket.com
If you dont have an account, sign up.
Once you get an account established, on your main homepage it should say upload photos, you click on that, then you click on from computer, then you will browse for the photos you want to upload and upload them.
Once you get all the photos you want in your slideshow, go to organize. there should be an option to make a slideshow. Add your photos to the slideshow and save it. once you save it to the left of your screen you can copy the html code and paste it here on your post reply! Did I explain that ok, and did it work?

Re: Post Submissions Here!
looks like the static image is already from photobucket from right clicking it.... so the slide show issue is probably just that you need to use the "html" link instead of the "img" link? I had trouble figuring out which link to post for slide shows at first too.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
If you don't get the slide show to work, Remember, the slide show is only a recommendation, not a requirement.Punky wrote:Gah!! it didn't work!!! Can someone please help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong?? *tear* I'm technologically challenged.
Posting the step by steps in still photographs works to qualify too.

I just paste it directly into the white post reply box....... no icons. And it seems to work, except the first time it was out of order.... I tried to fix it and couldn't, and the second time it was out of order and missing 4 of the pics.
Not worth the aggravation. I've asked my man to show me how to use the software he used to make a slideshow for my website.
Did you try just pasting it directly into the box - not using any of the above icon options?
Does that make sense??
Too early in the morning for me.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
OMG That design is an absolute winner, your amazing Punky.
I had trouble understanding how to do the slide show too. Through the guidence that was given to me from here I finally succeeded, I know you will to don't give up.
I went back to the birthday challenge to copy the info that enabled me to load a slide show. Mine's from Rock You, hope this helps.

.Mandi,
On your slide show page there are 2 links you can copy, copy the one beside embedded, its a whole stream of text starting with
embed src="http:
and ending with
Create Your Ownbut make sure there is a < in the beginning and > at the end (can't post the code to show you the code with them in or it just shows the image/ slideshow)
and be sure to also post a final still picture so Metina can use it for the voting.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Thanks for the tips everyone! I will go and try again right now! the slide show is through photo bucket, and I think I did copy the wrong link. And thanks for the compliments! You guys are amazing!
And Metzpah, I know it's not required and I can use photos too, but I like how cool the slideshows look, and since I include SBS directions too, I would need almost a whole page just to myself. It's much shorter this way.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Punky is it on your leg?
It's awesome work. Unfaultable.
I was just thinking if we are allowed to paint on our legs..... that would be much easier for me then painting my wiggly kid, or my own face for that matter!

Haha, yeah, it's on my leg, you caught me! Lol. I had nowhere else to paint it. It was too big for my arm, wouldn't fit nicely on my face, I don't own a practice head, and I have no other eadily available models... Just me and my mom (dad told me to not even ask, it wasn't happening ) Mom hates being painted, she'd rather do it herself. And that's also partially my fault... years ago when I was learning and I used her as a model/practice dummy, I got paint in her eye and she hasn't let me paint her since.
But oh well, I make do with what I have!
