What insurance company do you use?
I need to purchase liability insurance and I'm stuck on where to go. Hubby says well-known companies are better than smaller companies that are strictly for face painting. I'm just looking for something inexpensive. This is one of those investments that I need to make to further my business.
I have quotes from farmers insurance for $283/year and Allstate for $350/year both have $1M liability coverage.
My gigs have been not as frequent as I'd like so I'm pushing into more marketing and such now. Which all means that I'm spending what I've earned up to this point, in hopes to have a return on those investments shortly after.
Any help on how much coverage I need? What is too much? Any little nuggets of info that you've discovered in this process are uber helpful.

I use eventhelper.com I have never needed to use them, but they cover all my arts & artists reasonably & I can print out additionally insured at no cost.

@anniel
I can't figure out how to fill out their website quoter. I don't just want insured for one event. I want insured for all my events, even ones that I haven't booked. Maybe I should just call them tomorrow to talk through things.

Fill in the box for a whole year, I think. I pay @ 224 a year.

$350 a year - it covers kit replacement and all crew working for me (up to 10 people sometimes) for $2 million liability. It is with BFL Canada which is the insurance company for CAFABA members insurance.

Does anyone use the WCA insurance? Membership is $40, and the insurance is $140.
