Which paints melt in high humidity/heat?
This might not be in the right section of forum...
Aside from Snazaroo, which paints don't fair well in high heat and humidity? I'm in an area where we hit 100+ coupled with 70%+ humidity regularly.

Re: Which paints melt in high humidity/heat?
I think Global holds up pretty well and so does paradise. In my experience - Tag and Wolfe, not so much. BUT the more water you use...the gooier it gets. Since I use my black and white the most, it gets goopey faster. I'm going to do what others have suggested and have two whites and two blacks, so that I can switch them up. I repot to small containers, so it won't be a big deal to have extras.

except starblend powders, but they aren't really a 'paint' now are they lol.
Some are better then others, but it's always best to work in a shaded area. Or if at a birthday party on a hot day, be indoors with air conditioning. If some one hires me, it's in my contract that I must be in an area with shade, and it's up to them to provide this unless otherwise agreed.

Oh, I'm in the shade. No way in h*** I'm sitting in the sun!! The global is holding up awesome though. No issues at all, and it's currently 97 degrees out.
Had a kid so happy with her flower she hugged me. She was a bit older and mom insisted she get painted. I whispered to her "don't worry I will hook you up so it's cool" she was stoked afterwards.

the global smears when it's hot. paradise tends to stay put.

I dust the kids with a layer of baby powder when it's hot. The I use paradise on top of it. Just be sure to ask about asthma and tell them to close their eyes and don't breathe when dusting with the baby powder.

Re: Which paints melt in high humidity/heat?
In warmer weather, when I am going to be painting for long periods I have brought with me large flat ice packs that I store my water in and what not. And if I need to I can put them under my paints, to keep them cooler. It has worked for me on long festival days, where the weather is just terrible.
Re: Which paints melt in high humidity/heat?
Usually they don't melt when you are using them, FAB tends to get gooey but not liquid, BUT be very careful to leave them inside your car when is hot, I have seen a lot of split cakes ruined and melted even at 90 degrees outside.
