So awhile back I contemplated buying a practice head for painting on and came across a tattoo person practicing on a piece if craft foam and the ink wiped right off!! So I thought hey why not try my face paints since my kids are getting sick of being my test dummies. And it wipes right off! !!!! Its so awesome. Better than practicing on my leg or arm. Just thought I would throw that out there.

i tried craft foam sheets and it seemed like they absorbed a lot of the paint, it was difficult to blend, and wasted paint. what was your experience?

I bought the larger thicker sheets for my kids for a project and they seem to suck up less than the thin sheets. Go figure.

thanks, spitfireshortie, that explains it, i got the thin sheets. i will try a thicker one.

what i like about the foam sheets is you can get them in skin type shades instead of white, so your white designs show up.

I've seen people using them as design boards, because you can have different skin colours... Not sure how handy that is, if you can actually wash it off easily though :p

you'd probably want to laminate them between clear adhesive sheets or something similar
