Re: Post Submissions Here!
Wow, beautiful challenges so far .
I haven't been around for a while, but have the last week or so spent hours catching up
I decided to join the St. Patrick's Day challenge, googled it, and here's my go:
A quick and simple design. The model is, as usual, my daughter
- Lonnie.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
All of these are really cool - I better get cracking- I am booked for our local parade and haven't started my research yet.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
These are all awesome! I'm not sure I'll have time to enter this one... between doing 6 tax returns between all my business and my two teens who now have to file, and all of a sudden my regular house plan business heating up again, I'm swamped!!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
I was going to enter... then I saw that rainbow and pot of gold.... there's no way I can compete with that no matter how long I spend on it. That is gorgeous.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
I know there are some super awesome entries in these contests, but really I hope people are still inspired to enter their own take on the theme. Please don't not enter just because you do not think you can't compete! Part of the reason for the challenge is to get the creative juices flowing and sharing ideas. I love seeing all the entries. So many good ideas come out of these, even the ones that don't win are inspiring. The more the better! Even if you think you can't enter one anyway!! Especially then, I want to see more!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Hi Perry Noia,
If you are talking about my design, I feel totally flattered . I have never had a compliment like that before - Thank you .
And I have seen some of your designs, and they look really nice. Please post your St. Patricks Day design. I do it, and I only paint my kids
- Lonnie.

Yes, Lonnie, I'm referring to yours... I can't do shading like that, I don't even have a clue where to start!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Love the submissions so far!
I forgot about taking step by steps at first...whoops. I was distractedly half watching The Lion King (yes, on VHS, and no, there were no children around...haha) (Also, try not to see my skin bunking out 0_o)
Sponge Kryolan Intf Bronze around and swooping up/down on opposite eyes. Blend in DFX light green. Sponge green on to lips, line with DFX ess green and blend in. Line eye with ess green. Round #4 + DFX ess green, and blend.
Add teardrops and dots (same #4)
Add clover (highlight with #2 + DFX light green) and more dots (Kryolan Intf gold), et voila!

Hello All!
Here is my entry. No where near as good as some of the others. I used Diamond FX paint. Note to self: Never give your kid a lollipop when trying to paint for a contest. Lol! I hope you all enjoy. Constructive criticism welcome.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Celtic Cross. Not sure if it is St. Patrick Day, but it is Irish.. at least there is clover!
DFX Colours: Silver, white, black, UV yellow, orange, metal red, metal purple, old gold, light green, dark green.
I used my fingers for everything! Oh wait, no not really..
# 8 brushes for the big areas, detail brush for the small. Round medium for the clover.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I 'borrowed' gamezgirl's leprechaun design and tried it myself on St. Patrick's Day. Thanks for the inspiration!! It was his mom's birthday 'Paddi' and she just loved how great her son looked.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
That's awesome! It is nice to see it in the real world! Good for you!
