Glitter gripe (possible solution) tell me what you think
So I bought a glitter tattoo kit because I want to SPARKLE!!
When I used it I found the glitter itchy. I was disappointed because if it makes me itch there is no way I will put it on someone else. I must admit I had a sad!
Last night I had what I hope to be a revelation. I have glittery eyeshadow that I don't use because it has too much sparkle for a grown up to use as every day makeup. I took the pressed powder and chopped it up to make loose powder.

Re: Glitter gripe (possible solution) tell me what you think
I've never had anyone complain that their tattoo was itchy, and I've not experienced that myself. It might be worth trying on someone you know and trust to see if it's just your experience (reaction to glue vs glitter?) or if it's your kit.
Some people are going to react to our products no matter what. Some painters here will never use a particular color because they personally react, but use the products on others because they know not everyone has the same issue they do.
The eyeshadow reminds me of mica tattoos. You use the glue the same way you would with a GT, applying freehand or using a stencil, and then pat the mica powder on top. That would be a fine alternative if you like the effect.

TGC thank you,
I didn't use the glue, I was just wanting to add sparkle to the face paint. It was the glitter it's self that itched. It was a cheep kit so probably not the finest of glitter bits.
I do like the mat shimmer that the eyeshadow gives but I would like to find a glitter that gives a bright punch. Guess I'll just have to order some and try them out.

For face painting glitter, I only use Metina's Iridescent Pearl White glitter
http://www.facepaintforumshop.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=47
It's PERFECT. I bought the large size and it's lasted me for years. I use a 2 ounce poofer bottle to apply it.
For glitter tattoo and more opaque glitter, I use this palette: http://www.glittertattoostore.com/servlet/the-384/*Glitter-Palette-with-30/Detail
It's listed at $95, but I'm pretty sure I found it in sale somewhere for $80 when I bought it.
For me, I find the Glimmer opqaue colors as the brightest and best colors for tattoos and when I need a specific color for face painting application.
Good luck!

When you touch the glitter can you feel the flecks like sand or does it feel more like fine silicate?
