How to attach keyboard stand to gun case?!
Hi everyone!! This my first post on here!!
I have just ordered myself a gun case and really looking forward to getting it all set up!! I plan on getting a double cross keyboard stand.
I'd love t hear from people who use a keyboard stand as their kit base. Does it feel sturdy and steady enough? Nervous about having it on grass and how that'll go... have to wedge it against a wall or table etc if no flat grass areas.. How is it for you?
ALSO, most importantly how do you attach the stand to the gun case?? In an ideal world I will carry the case by the handle and then just open legs and stand it up, rather than the stand being separate and unattached... trying to streamline so I have less to carry!!
Any advice would be awesome!! Thanks!

If there's no flat grass area, try securing it with stakes into the ground.... What I would do is take two stakes, tie a very short rope between them, and put them on either side of the leg to fasten it to the ground. Do this 4X! Hmmmm.... What might work really well is something like a curved wicket? To go over the base, and into the ground on both sides...
I'm fabricating a gun case myself, so I've got my thinking cap on too! I just don't trust the keyboard stand with my beauties

I did try a keyboard stand--but finally decided to just let the client provide a table. I ask for cover outside & am flexible about table size, I just need it regular height, thought I will work off the bar. You are prepared & can set up virtually anywhere they'd like you. They make a commitment to have you there, and you will find you are no longer an afterthought.

I have an ice fishing pole case and can set up almost anywhere. I usually ask the client to provide a table and 2 chairs but am able to bring them if necessary (though I've never had to).

Re: How to attach keyboard stand to gun case?!
I know this post is a little dated but I plan on doing the same thing with a guitar case I've been wanting to replace anyway.
If you found a way to attach it, please let me know what you did and how you liked it.
Left to my own devices, Ill leave mine unattached and probably just get a couple scrap pieces of light weight particle board to throw on the ground to steady my stand.
I think this idea is genius, really cuts down on the amount of stuff to carry when providing everything at an event.
BTW, does anyone have a particular stand they recommend? Thanks!

Re: How to attach keyboard stand to gun case?!
Hubby came up and asked what I was doing, after I posted the above, so I explained the concept and he asked why I don't just buy a chop saw table wheels. I looked on Lowes.com and they have a lot of choices.
The case can be mounted to the tracks, the tracks are removable and it already has wheels. Made of aluminum so it's sturdy but lightweight. He has a Dewalt (more expensive than the one I want and school bus yellow) so when I asked if it was steady he laughed and said, "Duh! It's a CHOP SAW table!" Hahaha.
Not the prettiest thing but a table cloth and skirt will fix that.
Problem solved! Thanks, Hubby!
I'll post a review after I use it.

Re: How to attach keyboard stand to gun case?!
Keep it simple...a table (of any size) is so much more stable than a keyboard stand...
Re: How to attach keyboard stand to gun case?!
Yeah I agree. I thought it was a great idea until I read how unstable they are. I get it though. It's compact and inexpensive but it's a case of getting what you pay for.
I had my husband pull his chop saw table out of the tool trailer and tested it out. There's nothing unsteady or flimsy about it and it's actually sturdier than a lot of portable tables.
He's buying one for me tomorrow and will attach the tracks over the weekend, I'll post a review either way. If it doesn't work out he can return it. I didn't like this guitar case because it's too big, but for a face paint kit, it's perfect! Jeez I'm glad I never stuck stickers on it.
