Columbia Md. Jan Jam report
Thank you Michelle, that was one excellent jam. I can't wait to see the pictures. You made using the arty cakes so simple. I was blown away by Karen who has just begun face painting and how fast she picked up, and the beautiful flowers and leaves that she did, all with Arty cakes. Thanks for going thru how to make the arty cake, when I do it, it takes days, you showed me such a simple method, and oh so quick. I hope we can make another arty cake next month.....and that I win it this time. Or maybe we can bring our own containers next month and each make one for ourselves.
Vicki, thank you for bringing Tinaka, I hope I spelled that right. She is so beautiful and such an amazing model. I don't know how she sat through all of us painting on her and she was so still.
Mike, you are amazing. You have such an amazing eye for how to upgrade a design. I would never have thought to change the angle on the face like you mentioned, but it worked beautifully. I will remember that for next time. Thanks for fixing my camera too.
Oh, and then Trisha, that was an amazing face you did with the cakes. It's hard to believe that tonight was the first night that you ever worked with arty cakes.
And to everyone else there tonight, I'm so sorry that I can't remember your names. I especially loved the two men that got painted, you guys were totally awesome, and letting us paint on you was such a treat.
And everyone who was there tonight got a little something to take home with them, some of the goodies included Fantasy world wide sponges, Practice heads and of course the arty cake.
I'm looking forward to February's jam, if it is half as good as tonight's jam it will be another success.
Thanks Again Michelle. Please post some pictures, I'm afraid that I only got a few.

Sue mailed me saying she didn't know which pics were from the jam, I only got a few, and only posted 2, both were different views of a little girl that we all painted on. Blue flower on her forehead.
I'm hoping that Michelle has better pictures of all that was going on as there was so much happening. I loved the kids painting, they were great and so well behaved.

Hey! Thanks to Jenny for bringing lots of the goodies to the jam
I had a ton of fun at January's Columbia Jam - it was great to see the new faces and everyone was being so open about not only the art of what we do but the business side as well. Great stuff!
The pictures I'm attaching are are great!
In the first one, Karen's wicked cool flower and leaf practice along with some jewels on her arm. These are amazing looking- very striking! She painted the blue flowers on Tinaka's face in the pictures Jenny sent earlier. Thanks for stepping up to the plate Karen! I know you'll have fun things to show us in Feb : )
The mini "arty" cake we demoed how to make at the jam was used to make a neat leaf butterfly in the second picture. I used Jenny's 1" brush to do it- now I need to get some of those brushes and I will be set!
Toby showed off his mad lettering skillz and his tender side with a tribal rainbow butterfly.
The lovely and spunky Tricia (Trisha??) shows off the sweet deal she won during our game. Nice rainbow cake! Make pretty things with it and show us later : )
And I just wanted to show off my abysmal "Toby" letting attempt. Toby did the first 2 letters of MOM and I did the last M, which might be why it looks more like moM than MOM. But the tribal was fun!
If anyone has more pictures, send them to us because I didn't snap one of Tricia's face on Karen or Vicky's princess.

Wow, you got some great pictures. We must invite the new people to join Metinas' forum. I think they would love it here.
