I have read where people are being snatched away whilst swimming in the land "Down Under."

Please, dear Aussie friends, swim only in swimming pools or bathtubs and please do check those first before immersing your lil' selves.

And no one can ever convince me that creating crocodiles, alligators, sharks, 25 foot long snakes and tarantulas were God's best ideas...Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Hi thanks for the warning!!! ;-)

Sometimes our swimming pools and bathrooms aren't even safe from the creatures though! I don't think I'll say any more - don't want to scare anyone from visiting! Lol

The snakes that are most dangerous here aren't that big - just very venomous - usually they try to get away just as fast as us. Again I'm not saying any more haha

Ummm..... we do have lots of cute native creatures - koalas, rock wallabies, possums, sugar gliders - and they aren't too dangerous!

There are soooo many cutie little things in your country.

You know, I have often said that if I absolutely HAD to be eaten alive by something from the animal kingdom I would hope that it would at least be something beautiful like a tiger or a lion.  And I would also hope that it wouldn't be smelly, as I would hate to have my sense of smell offended as I was being mauled, ripped apart and devoured.

I would also not like to be in the jaws of a shark, alligator or crocodile because they are just plain freaky creepy-scary and icky.... plus you have to deal with trying to scream in the water and no one will even hear you as your lil' air bubbles rise to the surface....Crying or Very sad

And while we are at it, why did God make fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. Why why why?????????????

(I mean, yes, sure, the cycle of life, the food chain, etc. But how about just harmless non-biting protein pellets with legs and wings for the higher-ups who consume fleas, ticks and mosquitoes???).

I am going on a camping trip soon. I am going to become food for the miniature vampires.

I truly believe that mosquitoes and a number of other pests are a result of the fall (when Adam and Eve sinned).

Dearest JJJJJ,

You could coat your entire body with Tabasco - that way you could get your own little form of revenge on anything (or anyone) that tried to take a bit out of you.

All safe here miss ronnie, although I did once have a redback spider hanging at eye level in the bathroom from the web it had spun from the exhaust fan to the toilet. Also Came face to face with a goanna as I was going down the steps in the backyard to hang out the washing, but that was fine, I think he turned and ran as fast as I did, and there was the time I saw a snake as I was hanging out the washing (gotta stop washing) and the time I had to carry the kids up from playing in the boat when one of them spotted a snake eating a frog not too far away, but that was all good as he was busy munching on the frog to worry about us and I remember screaming out the kitchen window to my husband that there was a brown snake heading up the driveway, he of course didn't hear me and walked towards the window to find out what I was saying... But other than that its a lovely place to live.
Oh and I am safe from things that live in the water though as i have never been able to venture out after watching jaws.

Just saw this Ronnie. We were all shocked as we knew this young man and his family. We attended his memorial service at his family home. It only takes one foolish act when you've been drinking.

Dear Peachy Mango,

So sorry about the loss of this young man.

After reading silversky's description of her daily life, I am convinced that not only is doing laundry dangerous in Australia, but Aussie gals should make it a top priority to date or marry pest control men!
