Aussie Friends...are you all ok?

I have been seeing a lot of news about heat, fires, and giant dust clouds!! Worrying about all of our Aussie friends and wondering if you are all OK!! Check in and let us know, please!!

I was thinking about them too watching the news! Have prayed, hope everyone is fine or escaped in time.

Out of NSW (just going with people you may know from here and face book) I am ok, Tash is Ok, Clowngirl is OK. Annie is OK last i heard.
We did at one stage have 180 fires burning in NSW they got it down to 90 yesterday, apart from naturally occouring there has been arsonist setting a few.
Most are under control now still a few painters close but given the regions "most" should be OK as far as I am aware.

Thanks for checking. There are still heaps of fires around, a small one just started about 5 mins from me but the rural fire brigade are awesome so hopefully they get it under control soon. The warnings and info that they put out via SMS, radio and online is fantastic. It definitely has been hot though! It was 43 degrees Celsius at my place yesterday (109.4 Fahrenheit) but others have it worse. Thank goodness for air con, and hooray to sleeping on the loungeroom floor right underneath it!

The fires were soo bad. Now the tropical cyclone in Northern Queensland is bearing down on the coast. Expected to hit tonight with major winds and severe flooding. The Whitsundays and central coast is already flooding. some places have had 400mm in 24 hours. I'm not sure how much that converts to out of the metric system but that is TORRENTIAL!

Aussie land is the land of extremes!!!!

All I can say is wow and stay safe, my friends.

I am also fine there were a few close ones to us but the fire fighters dones amazing jobs and kept them under control, few of our close friends had to leave there homes and head to the evacuation centres but they are all safe in their homes now thank goodness!

From one extreme to the other first bushfires now floods. I am surrounded by bush and was extremely worried about the fires , luckily none came close.
Yet today my garage has flooded. Am considering myself extremely fortunate though compared to people up in Queensland and northern nsw who have the fear of homes being swept away by rising floodwaters. There is a fierce wind expected tonight and lots more rain. I hope everyone stays safe

I'm feeling very lucky in Adelaide, South Australia. No floods or fires anywhere near me so I'm also glad to hear all you others aussies are doing ok.
