Hair coloring?
Well the face painting at the Kesha concert was a huge hit. My employer asked me if I could color hair so I brought several spray bottles of temp hair color, which they reimbursed me for =) Problem is that it was about 95% compressed air, 2% coloring product, and 3% headache. Anyone have suggestions for temp hair color? They actually brought up increasing my pay AND paying for the hair/glitter products since I don't normally use them. So checking out my options. The 5 bottles of spray color only lasted through about 25 people and that was doing just a strip of hair or only tips =(

Re: Hair coloring?
have you considered using the face paint?
not that I've done this on purpose, but by accident, I have quickly coated long chucks of hair quickly with paint on my hand, before I learned about keeping a damp towel in my kit before an event (thanks metina!).....it lasts awhile too.
something I HAVE used on purpose was hair chalk....works very well-the trick is to grind it to powder so that you don't have to rub and rub and rub the hair strands.

Jerome Russell works pretty good, but it has a strong perfume so best outside/large spaces...
Re: Hair coloring?
I would probably use hair chalk or face paint, then seal it with a quick spray of hair spray.
I find the fumes from the colored hair spray to be noxious, and the residual flies all over the place.
The brands you buy at Sally Beauty I found to have more pigment than the cheapy walmart brands though, if you stick with the sprays.

Re: Hair coloring?
My sister does hair designs for kids while I do face painting and she uses the hair chalk, it is quite cheap and you can quickly do one streak and it lasts quite a while. I think there are a few colors that she needs to put in hair spray first for the color to hold.
Although paint is a good option as well, they likely won't give you the extra money to buy it because it no longer becomes an added expense for you, so I would try to use something you don't already have in stock.
