Warm greetings from Seattle, WA!
(19 degrees this morning as I took my boys to the bus stop!) I have been an artist since I could hold a crayon, why I waited until I was 39 to start this is beyond me, but.... I am so glad I did! 6 months in and I am going full steam! I have done henna and murals, but this is the love of my life! I am so glad to be in good company and I'll try to not be such a lurker. I'm a mom of two little boys (who are already tired of being my models!) and in the middle of a divorce, so single momness around the corner. After being a volunteer for 8 years with children this is a good way to re-enter the work force!

Welcome from a few degrees north near Vancouver, BC! I've got two little ones at home tired of being models too.
Re: Warm greetings from Seattle, WA!
You would have thought they'd hit the jackpot when I first started, now I have to bribe 'em! lol

Hi!
No in house models here... willing or otherwise! Just myself...
And you think 19 is cold???
We are moving towards -38C on the weekend...

Nah... 19 isn't cold, it's just not what Seattle is used to... I used to live in Nome, AK. We got -30 Farenhiet! (all seems the same after 0 though!) Seattle we just get used to the wet, we're acclimated... moldy, not frozen!
Re: Warm greetings from Seattle, WA!
Ah yes... I grew up in Vancouver... we joked about webbed feet and rusting instead of tanning!
And yeah... once you hit -40C/-40F it is all the same

I love the 'wet' coast! I never have to bundle up too much. I was out last night without a jacket even. I don't melt in the summer and it's always pretty and green.
I did my time in the cold though when I lived in Norway a couple years and rode a bike while there. Tricky in the snow let me tell you. -25 was the coldest I really had to deal with as I lived in the Southeast.

Yeah, you Canadians get some coldness for sure! I do love Degrassi! (embarassingly admitted by a 39 year old!) I've always wanted to go to Alberta and see that mammoth Edmonton mall! It looks like a destination all in itself! How fun! And biking in the snow? lol, snow on the ground 9 months out of the year where I lived and not once did I entertain the notion of biking in it! Good on ya
Re: Warm greetings from Seattle, WA!
West Edmonton Mall... vastly overrated!! LOL... easy to get lost as there are multiples of almost any store there and you THINK you turned down the right aisle but you're really at the other end of it... and it takes HOURS to get around it!
But people with families like it for the waterpark, amusement park, etc.

Welcome from Houston, TX! I have six children but they don't want to be my models anymore either. I have my hopes on my grand daughter (3 weeks old)...... just wondering how long I have to wait :0) Until then it's just me and my mirror and fp....
