Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
It's warm enough to put together a local co-op for Moonlight glue. I showed all of my local painting friends how well it works and we're planning on ordering some soon.
Anyway...to the question. Now that you all have had the glue for awhile, has it degraded any? I had a fellow painter ask how long do you think we could store the bottles. What's the usual storage limits on prosaid?
Also, it looks like the suppliers are all different. Are there any that you've had troubles with? Have any of you dealt with extra customs type charges after you'd already orders?
Anyway, any information or experiences you've had would be helpful.

I ordered my moonlight kit from a lady in China but they had a warehouse in California so I actually got it super quick!
Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
I ordered mine at Aliexpress and it came from China, took about 3 weeks I think to arrive. I don't remember the exact date of purchase but it was at least a year ago. My son JUST finally scrubbed off a tat he had on for 2 weeks so I don't think it has lost much staying power! My kit has been stored in my kitchen in a clear plastic bin since I bought it- exposed to light and some temp fluctuation, but nothing to extreme.

I've ordered from
http://www.getbetterlife.com/1-pc-professional-painting-glue10ml_p3804.html
Got it in four days, paid for Express Shipping ($18). I've ordered 4 bottles.
So far I used it only on myself, it lasts a long time. There are some debates about it's safety on FB. Even with MSDS sheets some people aren't sure there are no harmful substances it this glue.

Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
Katerra, is there any basis for the fears or is it just that it is from China? I'm not a member of the group.
Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
I'm a member and I looked at the safety sheets, they use SFS (safety fact sheet?) I believe rather than MSDS. It shows that there are no metals, etc. Seems fine to me. I will keep it in my kit for anyone that asks.

Denise,
yes, people don't trust products manufactured in China.

Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
Here's why I don't trust safety sheets and testing facilities in China.
I purchased an item from China it came with full safety and specification testing paperwork from an independent laboratory also in Asia. After it was delivered I had to take it over to the State of California to register it and was immediately turned away. Seems that the State of California just laughed and showed me a large file they said was full of falsified independent safety sheets that had come out of China just in this year.
After that I just can't expose someone's child to an unknown substance. I"m hoping for full testing from one of the US or European companies.

Denise, When you do the co-op, I want in. I've been wanting to get this glue, but have been putting it off.

I just ordered from amazon for $8... Hoping it's the right kind. I am not loving pros aide, stays 1-2 days on my skin.

Denise - let me know if you decide to do this. For some reason AliExpress won't ship to Washington State, so I can't do an order. I have some Moonlight Glue & Glitters in a case a I bought on the Swap Shop and would love to get more. I really want to get the colored glue kit (ARGH!)

Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
Love the moonlight. I have both colored liquid glue and just received 4 30 ml tubes. It seems a bit thicker than glimmer. And the applicator is like nail polish brush. I prefer the soft wand for stencils. I just ordered containers to do free hand. It took almost a month to get my glue. Lady Glitter has a lot of knowledge about this product too.
Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
I absolutely love the way her "glue tattoos" look. I finally manged to order some from DHGate. The individual tubes are really inexpensive on GetBetterLife
http://www.getbetterlife.com/1-pc-professional-painting-glue-30ml_p3385.html
Only 3.99 for 30ml - I really love the glue - even though it is thicker (and even though I got it *all* over my hands while transferring to a bottle... oy!)

Re: Moonlight Glue Co-op - Need experiential info
Can anyone spare some of this precious commodity with me? I just booked a party with glitter tats as an add on -silly me I forgot I was low on glue! I know I can order express shipping for an extra $18 but I'd rather give someone here the money.
Sorry to hijack the thread, figured here was a good place to start before moving on to the general populace! Thanks!
