When will it be spring?

"sigh" it is a snow day here in eastern Ontario, freezing rain( everything is COVERED in Ice , and snow expected this afternoon That damned groundhog is off my Christmas card list ...the little liar

Sandy, that is lovely. Thank you. We got about 4 inches again last night..oh well, spring will come soon I suppose. There are worse things for sure At least our darling little penguins at the zoo are happy these days.

We had our first BBQ yesterday!! Wind still a bit cold, but sun was shining, Yay!!

First red tulip opened in my front garden yesterday! Hang in there, northerners!

Thanks for the warm greetings. Forecast here still calling for more cold and snow/sleet. Glad that yesterday hovered a half a degree above freezing so the precipitation was primarily rain. We're so far below average and behind normal spring thawing it is rather discouraging.

Maybe it just means we will have an extra long summer and fall ...we can hope right!?!? LOL

It is snowing again here. Forecast is for 7 inches. Really?

So I'm trying to think happy thoughts. Here is what I've come up with so far:
- all those people allergic to grass aren't having allergy problems
- cold air is dryer than warm air so my flooded basement will dry more quickly
- not staring longingly out the window wishing to be outside when I have inside work to do.

OK. That's all I can think of. Any other happy thoughts?

Ice cubes stay frozen longer.

So we received over a foot of snow on Thursday/Friday and school and all activities were cancelled again. My husband was commenting that he had never before used our snow blower in April and he has had to use it 3 times this month and will probably need it again tonight because the forecast is for another 5 - 9 inches.
