When will it be spring?

It has been a very long winter here in Minnesota and the forecast is for more snow this week. :-( This weekend was a little warmer (might have hit 50 yesterday) and the snow in our front yard melted enough that I was finally able to take down the Christmas decorations. :-) The extension cords are still frozen under the ice and snow but at least the larger yard decorations are gone.

I'm hoping that spring will arrive here soon. What is it like where you are?

Hope you're not flooding down your way... Just warning and such over in my neck of the woods so far! And a little water in the basement due to a busted sump pump. Yay, spring.

That might be the only thing good about the slow melting, no flooding in our area. We have a pond in our backyard and some years we have been concerned about flooding but last year it almost dried out and it is still below average, even with the melting.

Hope tonight's forecast doesn't amount to much! No more snow, thanks!

It is warming up pretty nicely here...we are in the 60's-70's all week but really damp. Yesterday was almost summer like! It is 70 now but rainy. I am kind of glad for the rain because we just laid sod. But part of me wishes it was dry so we could go out and play! Our winter's used to be brutal but lately we haven't gotten much snow, actually sold my blower lol. Hope it warms up for the rest of you lovely people soon!

It was about 75 here today, but it's been a long time coming!! I don't like anything under 50!!

I'm right here with 'ya in MN....I too have just been dying to get my Christmas yard decorations/lights put away! Just yesterday the ground finally thawed enough to pull the giant lit candycane stakes out of the ground! Ha! We got totally spoiled last year so this year feels extra brutal!!

Hi it's a cloudy 28C here (82.4F i think?) and quite windy in Queensland, Australia - we are coming out of our long hot summer - so am enjoying the "cooler" weather and no air conditioners need to be on! :-)

Each year I have to keep the chocolate Easter eggs in the lovely cool storeroom in the middle of our "queenslander" style house - otherwise they melt! It's also where my face paint supplies live all year round!

Hope your freezing weather won't last too much longer!

Here in Ohio spring has finally sprung, for now... I could be snowing in 24 hrs Ohio weather is so wishy washy and un predictable. I will take the low 70's with sun and a few clouds anytime. Good luck getting your spring sprung..?

Just heard that 5 more inches of snow are expected today and tomorrow. Yuck. Could really use a pleasant, warm, sunny day. Wish I could pop over to Queensland for the afternoon and help with the melting chocolate bunny problem.

Went to the beach after work today...in the 80's! (the weekend will only be 60's ) Sorry to hear winter still has a strong hold on some of you. That is why I live in the south!

No problem! The kids still have some left!

I had to bring my daughter to school this morning for a student council meeting and it took 50 minutes to bring her 2.5 miles and come back home. So glad I can work my day job from home when the weather is nasty.

This is NOT a little snow.

There are giant snowblobs crashing and bashing against the windows. The winds blew down a large limb of a nearby oak onto a car, crushing the empty car and trapping the occupants of the closest home from using their front porch for about 6 hours, while a hydro crew removed a branch that was dangerously weighing down the power line.

At least I am inside, with my unwaxed legs keeping me warm and cosy.

This is the first snowstorm I remember where there has been lightning and thunder. Weird!

Wind, ice, snow, thunder, yuck!!!! Glad to be inside my office with my space heater and a blanket.

ANY snow you want to send my way will be appreciated, admired, saved in the freezer, etc... yes, we SAVE snow in the freezer on the few occasions we are fortunate to actually see any. that goes for hail too, lol. The high wind, snapping branches, and lightening part you can keep.

My husband is out moving snow with the tractor. My daughter and I are inside eating Coco Wheats hot cereal. Lovely spring we're having hmmm?
