So I'm curious what others have come up with for different bugs, spiders, leaches, basically creepy crawlies. I was going through some of my photos and came about this gem of a creepy crawly . Very Happy

affraid Those bugs... uggg. As awesome as it would be to make them as good as those, I think I'd be afraid of my own art work lol!

Lovely Spidies though!
And that first picture almost had me hitting the backspace button!

Thanks, I know someone around here did a really good rhinoceros beetle But I cant remember who.

My son is very highly aracnophobic (as in been hospitalised for the fear- so yes it dose happen) we went through a therapy and part of the therapy when they discovered that I could make them look real was for me to paint a spider on him and him try not to wash it off. he's good now as in he can look at a spider in the garden from a metre away and have them painted on him (he is almost normal scared now) Ive had to have spiders non dangerous walk on me in therapy and all sorts of things like catch them. an I wouldn't consider myself aracnaphobic but don't want them on me either ( The things we do for our kids) we havn't had a hospital admission for it in I think about 2 years so it did work.

With the redback I got hit with a roll of paper at school by the mum as she thought I had one on me had glanced it and grabed paper and come in for the swat and did not want to alarm me -I took it as a compliment, it was funny moment.

spiders I am good at but there are alot of things I am not so good at - I really need to get better at monsters and there shading - wierd how you can get something like shading in one type of design but then come to somthing different and it not work for you.

I would love to see other peoples bugs too, I like bugs - well the painted ones.

Katurah you just wrote my feelings exactly!
Sue that was a very nice story! How lucky for your son that you could paint so well to help him get through the fear. I laughed out loud when read the part of that woman swatting your arm. That was for sure a great compliment! sunny
