FABAIC... What should I bring?
This is my 1st time going to a convention. What are the best things to bring? Do I take just a little or BRING IT ALL(I know for some of us they would need a UHaul). I am driving, so I'm not limited. But, I don't want to be lugging my kit all over... though it would give me the excise to get my fatmax.....

Re: FABAIC... What should I bring?
I was looking at Shannon's list from her blog and I decided to go small (kit wise) and just buy something if I need it
I suggest long, flowing skirts because when I jam I paint on my legs.
I'll also be wearing a lot of flip flops and I'll even bring a bathing suit.
My biggies are:
1. Extra Shower curtain (the hotel can charge you for them if you get paint all over yours)
2. Dark wash cloths (same thing)
3. Dark towels (yep)
4. Bottle of baby shampoo - since I don't want to leave the hotel much and I KNOW I will need a whole bottle.
5. Heavy moisturizer (for all the washings I will be doing)
6. Camera Charger
7. Laptop (to empty my camera's memory card)

Re: FABAIC... What should I bring?
I went last year and my daughter and looks like I will be there again this year just need to confirm a few things. I took a minimal kit last year, but ended up buying quite a few other things to supplement.
This year I am bringing my mini netbook pc, standard kit minus some of the brushes and other misc. items I know I won't need. Not bringing the glitter tattoo set up...because Glimmer does them there for free for reg. size and like a dollar for really big designs. I don't bother bringing a practice head as my daughter models for me as well as modeling for a bunch of other folks as you can see from pics in the avatar and gallery. Definitely clothes and shoes you don't mind possibly getting paint on.
There are decent size mini refrigerators in the room so if you are driving you can bring stuff with you or just get stuff while you are there. They have a great trolley system you can use to get around to the different areas... runs like every 20 - 30 mins. Lots to do and see.
So prayerfully we will get there again..and perhaps our paths will cross.

Re: FABAIC... What should I bring?
It reminds me of that icebreaker game! I've never been, but here's my list so far.
Comfortable clothes and shoes are a must!
All my meds in their containers (and google a nearby pharmacy just in case)
Small sketchbook and pencils
Hard to say about my FP kit... cause my whole kit is probably everyone else's minimum but I'll have money to buy more!
Camera, charger, laptop for pics
I'm not staying at the Doubletree, so I'm considering not taking my regular bag for FP (about the size of the one Metina sells) and taking my slightly larger craft organizer bag on wheels, just so I don't have to carry, can pack snacks, and have room for purchases for the whole day.

Re: FABAIC... What should I bring?
There was an icebreaker game where we would sit in a circle. The leader would be the "busdriver." Each person would say, "I'm going to _____, and I"m bringing ______" and the busdriver says whether or not that person could get on the bus (sit in a chair instead of sitting on the floor.
So, if I said "I'm going to FABAIC, and I'm bringing jelly" I could get on the bus. When it's my turn again, and I said "peanut butter" I'd get kicked off the bus. The trick is to figure out the rule the busdriver uses to allow people on the bus (which is bringing something that starts with the same letter as your name).
Did that make sense? I only played once in high school and it was fun, but frustrating cause I couldn't figure it out yet.

I also bring baby oil, as it takes EVERYTHING off so well.

Bring what they said!
My friend Heather and I will be renting a car for the week, so I'll be able to hit the store if necessary.
don't forget your bathing suit! I'm going swimming and no one can stop me!
