TAG body art FDA approved ??
I just purchased quite a bit of TAG paint from the Face Paint forum Shop. As I look at the back, I notice that it is made in China and says "Manufactured with FDA approved ingredients". I am now wondering if anyone has had any problems with this paint, as anything coming from China makes me nervous, especially when we are putting them on children.
Also, when it says "manufactured with FDA approved ingredients", could also mean that some ingredients are not FDA approved?
My insurance requires me to use FDA approved paints, so just curious about other people's experiences with this.
Thanks!

Re: TAG body art FDA approved ??
The FDA doesn't approve ANYTHING specifically... they only approve ingredients... So it is made with ingredients that are approved by the FDA... I have been using TAG for years and have NEVER had one problem.
TAG, WOLFE, DFX all made in china..

Looking at my Wolfe paints, I see it says the same thing. Interesting, thanks for shedding some light. Just want to be sure.
P.S. Are you the creator of your sparkles? I ordered "soft gold" and can't wait to try it!

yep I am I hope you like it!! practice on wax paper making thin and thick lines to get better control on designs That way you can put the gel back in right away to re-use. (if you let it dry you can't re-use it)
Let me know what you think

What Suzy said. However, if your insurance genuinely says that you must use FDA-approved products, you need to challenge that wording. No such product is "FDA-approved", only manufactured using FDA-compliant ingredients.

And- many of those "Approved" notations come with "HOWEVER!!!" For instance... Red is approved BUT not near the eyes. Blue is approved BUT not near the mouth. So, if you used red near the eyes, and thre was an issue, your insurance could refuse the claim since there is no such thing as FDA approved red pigment for use near the eyes. (Which also means no orange or purple near the eyes- since they have red in them)

absolutely no cosmetics are approved by the FDA, only the product used to make the cosmetics are. It is our responsibility to chose a responsible company that cares about the safety and concerns of the consumer by using quality ingredients.
