Getting started - any inexpensive ways?
Hi everyone. I'm doing an event for my church and thought the kids would love to have glitter tattoos. I've never done them before. Is there an inexpensive way to have a go without buying a huge expensive kit? Obviously I'd need a fair few stencils so I'm a bit stuck.
Thanks,
Erin

Re: Getting started - any inexpensive ways?
I would use a coupon to get a Tulip kit from Michaels and then maybe order a few more stencils from Faketoos. They are pretty inexpensive and have a quick turnaround
Getting Started: Inexpensive Ways
Hi. Faketoos are pretty well priced. The kits from Glimmer Body Art are also priced pretty well. You can get a kit of up to 60 stencils for about $25-30. Have fun!

I bought this kit and it wasn't the cheapest but it is great! Alot of the pros here recommended it for me because it lasts so long and comes with so much to get you started!

Re: Getting started - any inexpensive ways?
I'm getting the same kit as Erica for Christmas (my other half already showed me, and it's FABULOUS), and just thought I'd point out that it's cheaper to buy in the UK, at 43.00 instead of the dollar equivalent of 58.00. I mention this because it might be cheaper in Australia, too. It comes with everything you'd need including display hangers and a really nice case, though you might want to pick up some mini stencils too, as the ones in my kit are quite large.

I have no idea how much shipping would be, but this is the set we were talking about, and it looks like an amazing price from this place!

EDITED TO ADD: Ahh, looks like shipping would almost double that price. Sorry!

Kammy,
keep in mind, that glitter glue freezes if temperature is below 0 Celsius. It's not the best season to buy the glue.

Re: Getting started - any inexpensive ways?
It's not as cold here as some places there. And according to the note on the box, the glue they use will recover from freezing. I wonder if that's true, or they're just trying to make out they're better than pros-aide???

Kammy,
you're right, they have a note about that. Please share your opinion of the glue after you try it!

I can't say what freezing it would do, because we don't freeze here, but that glue is definitely not pros-aide!
Good stuff though. Sticks like...well...glue. Tatt on my arm lasted almost a week before going fuzzy round the edges. I'm very impressed.
