Found an inexpensive canopy
Bought this at Big Lots. I don't have experience with more expensive ones but for $60, I am super happy with it. I can manage to set it up myself with little real efffort.

Not for the $60 but they did have a nicer one for $100 in navy and a 10 x 20 in white. Worth taking a look. This was good enough for my amateur status! BTW I LOVE my Marshall's tall director chair that you recommended for $50. Awesome!

Re: Found an inexpensive canopy
It's best not to go for navy though.... it gets very hot underneath, and due to the coloured fabric you can't recognize your paint colours anymore.....
My first one was green, and the first time i used it, i noticed that i used the wrong colours ( sadly i noticed the minute they walked out of the canopy...)
Same goes for red, that's a big no-no! I have an events agency i work for, they only have red canopies.... turns al my paints into different shades of red, i actually have to step out of the tent to check if i'm holding the right colour

Good to know. I wanted a white one actually after reading the posts of others but this one (kinda dark ecru) shouldn't throw off colors. So long as it keeps me and my paints out of the sun, it will make me happy. Came with a bag as well that keeps it all neat and tidy so it won't take up a whole lotta room.

Careful, martha.... those things are known to make great kites in windy conditions!!!!!

I hear you Miss Ronnie! Purchase was actually prompted by my hubby who felt bad for me after my last charity event. Got enough of a sunburn that it peeled. No more! I now proudly have a FatMax, tall director's chair, small portable table, and now a canopy! If I only had the time to find some paying events, I might turn "pro" yet. LOL!
