Waterproofing your Canopy
Couldn’t find a thread on this subject - is there a sealer that people prefer to waterproof your canopy - Are there any I should avoid?
Re: Waterproofing your Canopy
A canopy is a kind of shelter? A sort of cover up / tent?
Thought they were waterproof already?

As I understand it, you’re supposed to seal the seams. I haven’t encountered rain yet, but I thought sealing was neccessary. If not - would love to know that also.

Phew... I don't know... I would just Google 'seams' and 'waterproofing' and see what comes up?!
Re: Waterproofing your Canopy
did that before I came on here, but thanks. Guess I’ll just try seamgrip.

I don't have a product name offhand, but if you have a naughty word's Sporting Goods store or similar camping store nearby, they sell sprays and roll-ons for camping tents. These should work, as I did it with a small tent I own, and I was literally sitting inside my tent in a little lake that formed beneath it, waterbed-style, and nothing leaked.

Oh, that's too funny! I just re-read my post, and "naughty word" got inserted (I didn't type it that way!).
Let me explain: Here in NY there is a sporting goods store called ... Richard's. Except it's the nickname for Richard. As in the actor, Mr. Van Dyke.
Once, when I went googling for that store, as I do order camping stuff from time to time, it also came up as a "restricted" web site area. I wonder how that store manages! But I'll bet it's an old company name from back when the world was not so naughty!

Lol. We have the same store here in TN - I think they are way over priced but thanks for replying.
