It looks good. But like me, you need to study lighting and contrast to achieve a more "3D" effect. Once you get that down, your painting will will take two steps to the next level.

good grief! That scared me! I think it's great.

Go look at Shannon's Blog . There's a "how to" on zombies on her site. it takes you step by step.

I wish there was a face painting class for just the 3D effect. I could really use this!

Yes, I really need to keep trying with the 3D effects. I can see places it could really be improved with that. I think I find that difficult as I don't have an art background of any sort.
Must go to the blog...... Very Happy Thanks guys for the comments!

To get a 3D effect, you just need to learn the basics of blending, as well as the proper use of light and shadow. It does take practice to really get it down, but you first have to go back to the basics.

Linda, thank you for pointing out that there was a step by step zombie on Shannon's blog.

Shannon, thank you for making a step by step zombie.... scary stuff is not my strength.

I was hired to paint a 17 month old child today as a zombie. I walked in the door and the mother (who hired me to go over and do it) says "he has a thing about people touching his face" .... ? what am I doing here? .... Puts him in the high chair so he can't get away. Surprise... wants nothing to do with my sponge on his face... so I take his hand and *boop* some on his hand a couple times until he giggles, then boop it on his face and he still giggles, ok, now I can paint him... for a little while. It turned out ok, I'm sure it didn't last long. Why anyone would want to paint their baby as a zombie is beyond me, but who am I to say so, oh well.
