Re: Show and Tell #1 a Newbie "free for all"
Those giraffes are "Dip en Dap"... it's a cartoon in Holland Saw a picture and thought... must paint them so I did.
This week is autum break for the kids, so I might paint them a more then I've done last weeks.

Oh well, Valerie, I'm no pro!
I'm somewhere in the middle, average.

Tried out a version of a Lisa Joy Young design. I really like it! Sorry about the bad photo, I was tired and lazy and it was taken on my phone.

Tazmarie, Welcome! looking forward to having you here! Come paint with us as soon as possible!
Belle, we can be the 'peacock girls!' I think they are my favorite too...I'm hoping to develop some more peacock designs. So join me pleeease! Anyone else interested?
Lizzie, I am so honored to have a pro's compliment! Thank you for popping in to take a look! Hope you are having a Good day today.
This peacock mask is from awhile ago, but wanted to share
This was today

Great job! I've always enjoyed Lisa's tutorials.Kammy wrote:Tried out a version of a Lisa Joy Young design. I really like it! Sorry about the bad photo, I was tired and lazy and it was taken on my phone.
This is my arm version of Lisa Joy Young's design.

Yeah, Lizzie...and modest too!!
Kammy, love that butterfly. That's one I might be able to do 'evenly' since there aren't two sides.
Belle, nice peacocks! Especially love the way the feathers are arranged on the 2nd one! You inspire me on my peacock quest! And your butterfly is really nice too!
Tina, Cute dragon with nice scales. Amazing that you could get that mask done in 60 seconds! Also really like the mask on your little girl...and the extra splashes and swirls she insisted on. I think you have a budding fp'g assistant! Next thing you two will be doing youtube tutorials like Denise and Emma! Also noticed on other threads that you have such creative ideas! Liked how you improved on the bamboo brush holder (and posted a picture!) I think I will have to make myself one. Thank you!
Daphne, Great shading on your wolf face! And your mouth and teeth are so perfectly painted it actually looks like your real mouth in that picture!

Breast cancer support wuppies. The top one has a bald head due to chemo treatment and was sad about it, until all her friends came together to hold her up. They tied a pink string between each of them, so that she'll always know where to find them when she needs them.

Re: Show and Tell #1 a Newbie "free for all"
So glad you like my little pink fluffy wuppies. I love them, and I was sad to wash them off - they looked so happy on my leg!
Matt finally let me paint him. I'd make a couple of changes to this (like putting the cheekbones higher, and doing a more even base because I couldn't see in the dim light here!), but I'm fairly pleased.
Because it's silly, I thought I'd show you all the photo of said skull blowing me a kiss, too.

But he's my grouch.
Glad you all like the skull. I had LOTS of fun doing it, and I'm finding the TAG "Magpie" one-stroke cake brilliant for eye socket shading!

Re: Show and Tell #1 a Newbie "free for all"
Dartigirl,
Your pearl teal kitty is sweet, that color is beautiful!
Mermaid is cute, cute and your hubby makes a nice cheetah. I like using my old gold tag for cheetah. What gold did you use?

Hi avatar twin!
Love all your faces! Your pearl teal kitty is so nice (cute little heart nose!) and I like your rainbow tiger. That mermaid one is very nice, don't think I've seen one like that. Nice cheetah face on husband too. Sweet of him to let you paint him!

Re: Show and Tell #1 a Newbie "free for all"
Love everything here! It's so great to see how everyone's coming along with line work, shading and general painting skills. Dartiegirl - I wish Matty would let me paint him as something that isn't macabre! I think he'd make a stunning pink kitty...
I'll post more soon, I promise. Feeling a bit pained at the moment, so I've not been painting as much, and my one "have to paint every day" promise-keeping design today came out terribly. I've discovered that whilst I love TAG Berry Wine, I'm apparently incapable of doing good linework with it...though that could of course be the pain and fatigue messing it up rather than some intrinsic problem between me and the paint.
I usually do just black or white detailed line work, either with Wolfe or Superstar paints. What would any of you recommend for coloured line work?
Anyway, keep the designs coming! I love seeing everyone's stuff.
Kammy xx
See, now I'm jealous! I don't have an avatar twin! I hereby demand (with stamping and tantrumming and the whole kaboodle) that someone join me in the green, bleeding skull department!Valerie aka NieleA wrote:Hi avatar twin!

Re: Show and Tell #1 a Newbie "free for all"
So sorry Kammy, that you are having a painful day. That's no fun. Hope you are feeling peppy again soon!
I wonder if Wolfe colours do as good in linework as the black? Have you any to try with?
And no, I just CAN'T be a green bleeding skull twin, no matter what...it would scare me too much to even look in the mirror!
